Republican U.S. Senator Mike Enzi introduced on Tuesday a resolution allowing for the repeal of Obamacare, President Barack Obama's signature health insurance program that provides coverage to millions of Americans, Enzi's office said in a statement.

I wonder how many of those in congress who will vote to repeal obamacare voted FOR it in the first place without reading it?
It never should have passed.
It was passed as part of a Reconciliation Bill which only requires 51 votes. It can be repealed by the same process and will. They only will need 51 votes to do it.

All health care does is extend life expectancy. People all want that in their individual cases but do they want it for everyone else?
I would drop THAT policy.

I'm assuming that you shopped around before you bought THAT policy and that THAT policy is the one that best met your needs in terms of coverage and cost. Why would that change when Obamacare is gone? Where is the incentive for insurance companies to lower their rates now that they have a good idea what you're willing to pay?

gut an existing bill of everything, insert Obamacare repeal, and pass in reconciliation.
They need to explain to people it will stay in effect for X period of time. If they are worried about how to pay for it get rid of all the waivers Obama granted.....to the unions for instance
You don't understand how Obamacare works. THAT is the only policy we can get as a self employed couple. THERE ARE NO OTHER OPTIONS and dropping it is also out of the question as the IRS will seize large amounts of money from us.
You also don't understand how insurance works or how rates are set. Even if insurance companies could arbitrarily charge high rates for sheer profit it wouldn't work in a competitive economy in a country like the U.S., once Obamacare is repealed. I'm done with this conversation. I recommend Milton and Rose Friedman's book Free To Choose. It's a quick read and available in paperback.
If they do not immediately repeal it then immediately force all legislators to live with it AND fully implement it - all waivers rescinded.

Congressmen and Senators always do what is best for the country in accordance with the Constitution . . . as long as it doesn’t threaten reelection.

Sure, if the Republicans actually DO SOMETHING with the majority we've given them.
But, if they fritter away this trifecta as they have EVERY time before—maybe they prefer to be in the minority, with lower expectations—the 2018 election will be disappointing for us, if not for those Senators whose lifetime careers continue on.
