US President-elect Donald Trump's team has "aggressively courted" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to attend the incoming president's January 20 inauguration, according to a report on Saturday by the New York Post.
President-elect Donald Trump's transition team, led by Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, has been pushing for Netanyahu to attend the January 20th festivities and for the two world leaders to meet before then, a source told the Post.

Not yes but, “Hell Yes.”
.
I’d love to see Scooter Libby there, and also for Trump to fully pardon him, while opening up an investigation of Fitzgerald.
And the Border Patrol officers Ramos and Compean too.

The U.S. has no such formal relationship with Israel except in one very limited circumstance, and that is as much for the protection of Egypt as it is of Israel.
For a new U.S. president to invite a foreign leader from a country like Israel to his inauguration -- without inviting the leaders of all those countries who truly are our allies -- is political lunacy.
Sorry, Right_in_Virginia ... I posted this exact same comment later, before I read yours!
You have this completely wrong. The "uniparty" in Congress is pushing Netanyahu's agenda in Washington.
When repulsive RINOs like Lindsey Graham and John McCain are the loudest critics of the Obama administration when it comes to Israel, then I think it's a good idea for principled, patriotic conservatives to ask themselves whether any of this should even be a priority for Donald Trump.
I would think the Trumps might enjoy it as a change of pace from DC and NYC - he has Barron and lots of grandkids.
If true, this is good. Trump should confer with Nigel as necessary in order to rebuild our relationship with the Brits.
1) Isn't that true of any ally? They all have their own interests.
2) If I had to go to the Middle East, I would far rather stay in Israel than any other country over there. It is no contest. I would rather go to Siberia for a few years than any Arab country.
Yes, agree.
AND especially something that exposes how stupid and dishonest they really are. Expose their Lies and Crimes. Ultimately, try them for their crimes. They are many.
I hope he does come and is seated right next to Obama and Moochelle on the platform listening to Trumps speech
Why would he work for the UN?
U.S. Col. David Marcus led Israeli troops in 1948 and lost his life there.
And invite President Tsai of Taiwan.
Would not hold my breath.
That’s because you still care about what Wolf Blister has to say about it.
2. Same here. I would rather go to Japan or Singapore than to any other country in Asia. That doesn't mean Donald Trump should invite their prime ministers to his inauguration.
I have no idea what Wolf Blister has to say about it -- nor do I care.
Why not?
It is his inauguration.
I would hope that any high-ranking official of any nation that wanted to show solidarity with the new United States would be invited to the inauguration. They are coming to show respect to the US and to Trump. A welcome change from the kenyan.
In some instances, he is showing mutual respect for their country. In some cases, he is not. This will be sorted out in the seating arrangements.
This is a lot smarter diplomacy, on day one, than Obama showed in his entire life.

Please send me a list of all the nations whose leaders have been invited to the inauguration. This thread is about a single leader from a single nation who Trump's team is looking to invite to the inauguration. I'm not aware of any others, and if there aren't any others than this isn't smart diplomacy at all -- it's disastrous diplomacy.
