The Obama administration struck back at Russia... for its efforts to influence the 2016 election, ejecting 35 Russian intelligence operatives from the United States and imposing sanctions on Russias two leading intelligence services, including four top officers of the military intelligence unit the White House believes ordered the attacks on the Democratic National Committee and other political organizations.
In a sweeping set of announcements, the United States was also expected to release evidence linking the cyberattacks to computer systems used by Russian intelligence. Taken together, the actions would amount to the strongest American response ever taken to a state-sponsored cyberattack aimed at the United States.
The sanctions were also intended to box in President-elect Trump. Mr. Trump has consistently cast doubt that the Russian government had anything to do with the hacking of the D.N.C. or other political institutions, saying American intelligence agencies could not be trusted and suggesting that the hacking could have been the work of a 400-pound guy lying in his bed.
Mr. Trump will now have to decide whether to lift the sanctions on the Russian intelligence agencies when he takes office next month, with Republicans in Congress among those calling for a public investigation into Russias actions. Should Mr. Trump do so, it would require him to effectively reject the findings of his intelligence agencies.
Asked... at his Mar-a-Lago estate ... about reports of the impending sanctions, Mr. Trump said: I think we ought to get on with our lives. I think that computers have complicated lives very greatly. The whole age of computer has made it where nobody knows exactly what is going on. We have speed, we have a lot of other things, but Im not sure we have the kind, the security we need.

As Sen. Lindsey Graham vows to lead a congressional investigation into Russias involvement in the 2016 election, Georgia officials have their eye on tampering a little closer to home.
According to state officials, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security tried to gain access to Georgias voting systems in the week following the presidential election. Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp sent a letter to Homeland chief Jeh Johnson this week asking why his agency tried, unsuccessfully, to blast past the states firewall software days after Donald Trump was elected president.
At no time has my office agreed to or permitted DHS to conduct penetration testing or security scans of our network, Kemp wrote. Moreover, your department has not contacted my office since this unsuccessful incident to alert us of any security event that would require testing or scanning of our network.
In the letter, Kemp demanded to know if the agency conducted the scan and, if they did, where the authorization came from. Kemp pressed further, asking Johnson if the Georgia attempt was the only one DHS conducted without the permission of state officials.
The worst quality of these affirmative action empty suits is their self delusion about their abilities. If he hadn't been installed by the globalists into the Presidency, Trump wouldn't even pee on Obama's leg in a urinal accident.

Two More States May Have Had Election Information Hacked by Department of Homeland Security

With the 24/7 media caterwauling about the Russians hacking the election it ... to the DHS attempts at penetrating the Georgia system it has been divulged that similar
Now watch what I do with a headline similar to the Slimes. Let’s see if it gets picked up in the search engines....
That would be Obama's fondest wet dream.
Putin is smarter than that.
He can wait 3 weeks.
The hard evidence of illegal voting needs to be produced just like the hard evidence of interference by Russia needs to be produced.
US Intelligence agencies say Russia interfered.
PE Trump stated that there was massive voter fraud.
Neither of those two things is acceptable to me.
If either or both are proven we MUST DEMAND steps be taken to prevent it from happening again.
The very essence of our political life resides in FREE and FAIR elections of those who represent us.
This is not a joke.
This is not a partisan issue.
If either massive voter fraud or interference by foreign nations took place it must be found out, dealt with and any and all possible legal and diplomatic steps taken to prevent it from happening in the future.
forgets ==> ignores
whatever works for them
This Russian allegation is unsubstantiated nonsense meant to obfuscate the greatest political failure that leftist have ever had. I find this Russian focus almost childish.
Actually, this is nothing but Obola/Clinton SOP, as developed and used with the Benghazi atrocity where Obola's ISIS buddies perpetrated the atrocity and Clinton promptly blamed it on a video maker, going so far as to have him jailed for about two years in violation of his First Amendment rights.
That’s ok. All Trump’s DOJ needs to do is launch an investigation into the Obama Administrations interference in the Israeli elections and bring people in front of a grand jury.
This one rough looking announcer on CNN(Frederica Whitfield?) in a black sleeveless cocktail dress announced as a fact that Russians hacked our elections. How would she know? Evidence points more to a DNC insider.
All the news keeps pushing the topic that Russians hacked our elections.
Correction: Those aren't Trump's intelligence agencies. They're the politicized intelligence agencies of one Barack Hussein Obama.
Try reading for comprehension
My last statement in the post you replied to:
“There needs to be a special committee appointed and a through forensic review of all of the evidence of voter fraud and foreign interference”
I find neither VOTER FRAUD, as PE Trump has stated happened, or FOREGIN INTERFERENCE, as US intelligence agencies stated happenedd, acceptable.
You might be right, Laz, but I want it all stuffed up Obama’s backside and broken off. Obama won’t ever just go away, he will continue to haunt our country until he is locked up.
I know full well that Putin is much smarter than me (you probably are too), so perhaps he can hit back.... smartly. ;>)
And they only think that said hackers got some sort of information from their hacking.
Wikileaks has been adamant about not having got their leaks from the Russians. Instead they have said it was an insider—and I believe they put up a reward for information on Seth Rich’s murder (though they have a policy of never identifying their sources specifically).
Where is the EVIDENCE??? This fake DEMORAT news to deflect Wikileaks proof of DEMORAT collusion with the dead mainstream
fictional news.
Just got a text saying that Putin is ‘considering’ retaliation.
+1000
The above was in the NYT article, but no mention of several states tracking the “scanning” to a DHS employee, not the Ruskies.
The democrats did NOT want their collusion with liberal media EXPOSED. Note that democrats including Podesta never could disprove what was exposed. Wikileaks published the corruption laden emails, not the Russians.
Democraps are using Russia as a straw-man, and have offered no evidence against the Russians.
