Brooklyn Rouse had been delivering pizzas for Papa Johns for exactly two weeks when she was shot in the head on the day after Christmas.
Monday evening, 21-year-old Rouse was on her way to Macons Bloomfield neighborhood with two pizzas. Just five days before, her 23-year-old co-worker, Duncan Siror, had been shot in the shoulder while delivering a pizza to an address just a mile and a half north of where she was headed.

I regret that I have but one life to give for my pizza company...not that they care.
“21-year-old Rouse”
Not a girl
Prayers up for this young woman and her family.
And:
When asked if she recalled what happened, Rouse told the deputy that someone had approached her asking for money. Unlike Sirors attackers, Rouse said the person was not wearing a mask.
So, she saw her attacker, and must have described him to the police.
Yet there is no description in the article.
Part of being a good propagandist is knowing what information to omit.
Some places do that and with obviously good reason. I always read these stories because one of my sons lived and worked in the hood delivering pizzas. Glad those days are over.
Are you a “guy,” or a “man?”
Since Siror was shot last week, Hurley said at least nine delivery drivers have quit. For now, the store is not delivering to the Bloomfield neighborhood due to safety concerns, he said.
...Where are the Black Lives Matter crowd?....
Because there is no money to be made from this.
.... How come Obama is not making a statement?...
Because there is nothing in this for him and it doesn’t fit into any fringe lunatic liberal agenda.
This is why both BLM and Obama are silent on black on black killings in Chicago and elsewhere.
One job I would not do. I got left in the trunk of the taxi I was driving in Gainesfille FL way back when and have stayed away from jobs that carry that kind of risk. Employers are not willing or not able to pay the appropriate premium for that risk.
Due to the slavery past it is their right to shoot any damned body they take a notion to shoot.
She looks like a nice gal, and she’s clearly a hard working woman. I hope she will recover. Her black life matters people, but of course to the left it doesn’t since my guess is she wasn’t shot by a white person.
Why is this in the Sac Bee?
“She was not a driver btw.”
My daughter wanted to do food deliver in HS, but I wouldn’t let her. But, I note this crime happened at 8:20 in the evening, which is not exactly the middle of the night.
And they won’t let you carry more often than not!
Not sure but I think dominoes tried that and were sued. Discrimination and all that crap
Yep, there’s no such thing as pizza delivery out here. We had a Walmart stick in the oven pizza just now. Most times, it’s homemade.
We were on vacation once and Mr. b went down to the pool. I was watching the news in the hotel room and recognized the hotel in a live segment on a pizza delivery guy being shot. There were the police running past the pool with Mr. b still in it.
Cute girl. Prayers.
That’s why pizza delivery drivers don’t drive to certain zip codes. Not worth it.
My prayers for the young lady.
She was actually willing to work for a living.
Hope the CRIMINAL FILTH that shot her dies a horrible, miserable, excruciating, long drawn out agonizing DEATH; ALONE IN THE COLD AND THE DARK.
I hope to suing parties LOST. If you want to live in a crime infested neighborhood, don't complain when businesses choose to avoid the danger. Tack on a $150 delivery fee and bring the pizza in an armored truck. Just the cost of doing business. Don't like it? Move to a safer spot.
