Getting singers for Donald Trumps inauguration on January 20th is turning out to be harder than it was to fill his Cabinet.
The only confirmed talent so far are 16-year-old "Americas Got Talent" 2010 runner-up Jackie Evancho and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
"Who?" you say?
Exactly.
Many performers -- some who have been asked, others who have not -- have already said no to performing at the inauguration.
- Gene Simmons' wife told TMZ KISS "politely declined" the invitation to perform at the inauguration. Simmons said he would be touring Europe at the time.
- Trump's longtime friend Steve Wynn reportedly promised to deliver Celine Dion to perform at the inauguration, but could not follow through.
- Producer David Foster released a statement politely declining the offer to participate in the inauguration after rumors swirled he was participating.
- Elton John told the New York Times he was not performing after Anthony Scaramucci, a member of the presidential transition team, told the BBC the singer would sing a song or two.
- Page Six reported that Andrea Bocelli will not perform because of the backlash he received over accepting the gig. They also reported that President-Elect Trump suggested the tenor not participate because of said backlash.
- Variety and the NY Post have reported that Garth Brooks will not perform at the inauguration after he said earlier this month he "would be honored" to perform. Brooks did not return FOX411s request for comment.
- The manager for the band Chainsmokers had to respond to New York Magazines Brian Feldman after he tweeted the band was performing. They are not.

I so hope the Culver Military Academy Black Horse Troop will be there...
Let’s see whose music has a major uptick after the inauguration.....
I agree! The USAF Band and choir are wonderful.
I never get tired of watching/listening to these. Its also fun to watch the people in the crowd. These are at the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum

They are asking all the wrong people.
Should have asked Hank Williams JR, Toby Keith, Charlie Daniels
Then had Military bands from all 5 branches with Patriotic songs.
Gatlin Brothers, Alabama American Pride https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdE1OiPxcb0, Statlers More than a Name on a Wall https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8tjba__SBA all PRO American and Lee Greenwood God Bless the USA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hD4RFjmlzcQ. While I would have enjoyed Jackie Evancho, and Andrea Boceli, you can’t blame a blind man and a 16 yr old for not wanting the LIBTARD back lash.
Trump should have stuck with retired PRO American performers. And Given us a PRO AMERICA NIGHT with Patriotic songs and Military Bands preforming. A 4th of July in advance special. GOD BLESS THE USA!
Indy and no names risk not going any further in their careers.
While Evancho and Boceli were excellent choices, they have big draw backs, Jackie is just 16 to young to handle the libtards, and Boceli is blind and his recent weight loss is a concern, we saw him perform in a Tony Benet special a few days ago and he looked like he’d lost 25lb or more, not looking at all the health man he did a year ago.
Should have stuck with retired or hard core conservative C & W stars and do a early 4th of July spectacular, with real Patriotic songs and Military bands.
Those are fantastic! I would live the inauguration if it featured the military performing groups!
