Getting singers for Donald Trumps inauguration on January 20th is turning out to be harder than it was to fill his Cabinet.
The only confirmed talent so far are 16-year-old "Americas Got Talent" 2010 runner-up Jackie Evancho and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
"Who?" you say?
Exactly.
Many performers -- some who have been asked, others who have not -- have already said no to performing at the inauguration.
- Gene Simmons' wife told TMZ KISS "politely declined" the invitation to perform at the inauguration. Simmons said he would be touring Europe at the time.
- Trump's longtime friend Steve Wynn reportedly promised to deliver Celine Dion to perform at the inauguration, but could not follow through.
- Producer David Foster released a statement politely declining the offer to participate in the inauguration after rumors swirled he was participating.
- Elton John told the New York Times he was not performing after Anthony Scaramucci, a member of the presidential transition team, told the BBC the singer would sing a song or two.
- Page Six reported that Andrea Bocelli will not perform because of the backlash he received over accepting the gig. They also reported that President-Elect Trump suggested the tenor not participate because of said backlash.
- Variety and the NY Post have reported that Garth Brooks will not perform at the inauguration after he said earlier this month he "would be honored" to perform. Brooks did not return FOX411s request for comment.
- The manager for the band Chainsmokers had to respond to New York Magazines Brian Feldman after he tweeted the band was performing. They are not.

That is a great idea!
Why not Kid Rock?
Definitely, Lee Greenwood and other patriots.
Or Kanye?
Can't really see Trump "struggling" with anything. Just another lib "bump in the road" to be run over, as usual.
The Dixie chicks , but they would probably be too dumb to see the chance to redeem themselves
Soooo tempted to accidentally misspell, but this is a family friendly site so ... lol...
President Trump is hated beyond reason by these vermin. Someday they will all regret it.
Leftist intimidation of entertainers who would like to play is just more bullying by the left.
This is the meme of today, newspeak wise that is. I first heard “Trump can’t find anyone to perform at his inauguration” on AM radio news at 7:00 this morning pacific time. Mentioned at the top of each hour since. These people are despicable.
Give Mick a call.
Why do we need a performer, do the swearing in and get to work
Yup, nothing wrong with someone getting their shot at success at a Presidential Inaugural ball.
Who needs celebrities anyways?
I can’t WAIT for Jan 20.
The die hard patriotic groups will do it. Makes perfect sense. Trump’s inauguration will not be fittingly marked by any old artist.
Chuckling... that’s a good way to beat the bushes for every single patriotic act within earshot.
Trump will have bookings through his next term.
What about Brooks and Dunn(sp)
I thought of him, but he was just hospitalized for a mental breakdown recently, and a lot of his fans (probably most) do not like Trump.
Charlie Daniels?
This is good news to the media of course, but I don’t think it’s good news for the media. The folks who voted for Trump see these Democrat music industry/Hollywood elite refusing to perform for Trump and sneering at his voters, and it pushes them farther away from the Democrats.
The balkanization of America continues apace.
The left has become consumed in its paroxysm of hate. They couldn’t stop now if their very lives depended upon doing so. And I figured a months worth of temper tantrums is just about G-D enough.
I won’t tolerate it in my presence. Living in a liberal loonybin like I do I am surrounded by imbeciles - IDC as long as they behave themselves. But I won’t allow them to carry on and pollute my life.
I’ve had several...interesting... conversations recently, with most of them culminating with “get the F away from me if you value your life”.
I think it would be cool (probably there isn’t enough time) they put together a contest on social media and let people send in auditions. Fans could vote for the best to perform.
