Has there ever been a victory lap like President Barack Obamas? Day after day the affable, soon-to-be-former leader of the free world makes his rounds sombre and a little sad, reassuringly calm. Progressives and classical liberals everywhere, not least in Canada, wipe away a single tear as we contemplate the end of this grand moment in American history, inaugurated with a Nobel virtually before the man set foot in the Oval Office.
Perhaps in the New Year, as citizens of Earth grapple with the rising tide of chaos and carnage, and cope with the immediate consequences of Obamas failures, there will be time for a more sober assessment of his legacy. Dont count on it, though. Attention will likely be focused on more pressing concerns.
Tuesday, German Chancellor Angela Merkel reacted to the mass murder in a Christmas market 12 dead, 48 injured, at last count after a man in a truck drove into a crowd of holiday shoppers in an apparent terrorist attack.
I am, like millions of people in Germany, shocked, devastated and deeply saddened by what happened yesterday evening in Berlin, Merkel told a news conference.
Shocked, devastated, deeply saddened; incomprehensible. Its the now customary syntax in the aftermaths of these bloodbaths. But the words are no longer up to the job, if ever they were. Numbed, inured and resigned might serve better. For also Monday, the Russian ambassador to Turkey was shot dead in mid-speech at an art exhibit, by a young Turkish policeman a member of the security detail who then shouted Dont forget Aleppo! Dont forget Syria! and Allahu Akbar! over his corpse.

we wish she’d be shocked, devastated, and deeply saddened enough to make it stop.
It can’t be called a collapse if it is an intentionally engineered takedown.
Presided, in the sense that it happened at his specific direction, yes.
“Added to this, Obama presided over a working-class alienation so profound it caused life-long unionists and Democrats in the Rust Belt to stay home Nov. 8, handing the worlds greatest democracy and the mantle of global leadership to an authoritarian, volatile, unpredictable, untested billionaire.” That is the last sentence of the article. It was a fair analysis up to that point, but due to the usual leftist tilt of the source, it fails to be what it should be, a news source instead of a front page propaganda source. Reminds me of the LA Slime; it has an opinion page, not in the opinion section but emblazoned on the front page.
Sadly, she is none of those, and it won't stop.
Leftists are still so in shock over their loss they’re just reaiizing they have to write BS ‘legacy’ articles like this.
They really never thought they’d have to. Expect hundreds of cobbled tributes written in this dazed narrative before Jan 20.
Obama deliberately engineered and directed the end of American leadership in the world.
It was by design.
Leading from behind... Have you ever heard a more oxymoronic statement? Obama should have been impeached. I hold the house and senate accountable for these 8 years.
President Trump can’t come soon enough.
.....aaaaaaaand now he’s done and we can get our mojo back!
Something is going to have to stop her... I hope it is politically, but God has a way of letting other obstacles appear.
It means he is being pushy!
Hahaha and
I seriously can’t with him.
pushy? NO.
He is a Marxist to his core.
A real leader would pull. He’s doing it the lazy way.
Thankfully, Obama is a turd that is ready to drop and be flushed down the toilet bowl of history.
