She can ASSUME any thing she wants; but facts PROVE that there is a chance; however small; that she is NOT 'safe'.
Therefore; a well 'educated' person would take some kind of tangible step(s) to increase her odds of being 'safe'!

Let’s assume her story is true ... seems most of these are hoaxes lately, tho usually from the other side. In that case, this woman was targeted and targeted, one assumes, by another student. Who else but other students know she’s head of College Repubs?
I don’t know if you’ve been on the Cornell campus, or any college campus lately. Yes, as I noted, there ARE incidents, but they are rare, and nowhere near as common as on the streets of our major cities, and less common on a remote campus like Cornell. Typically there are students walking safely across campus every hour of the night and day. They have their own police force, and they have ‘blue lights’ but no place is ever safe. That situation alone makes me curious about how this incident would have taken place. I hope it’s not a hoax. Let that be the purview of the left.
The alternative is to give in to fear and never to go out or only to go out in large groups.
