Marijuana Goes Mainstream: Newport Cigarettes to Introduce 'Marijuana Cigarettes'
PJ Media ^ | 12-15-2016 | Michael van der Galien

Posted on 12/15/2016 5:44:24 AM PST by Michael van der Galien

When social conservatives told libertarians (of which I am one!) and liberals about their fears that legalization of marijuana would cause a domino effect, they were blasted for supposedly using a 'slippery slope' argument. 'Stop nagging,' we told those conservatives, 'it won't be that bad! It's just that people who use marijuana right now won't be punished for it. Won't that be a considerable improvement?'

Well, perhaps not so much:

Newport Cigarettes, one of the world’s most popular cigarette brands, announced today that they will join the marijuana legalization trend and start producing marijuana cigarettes. Reynolds American Inc. Chief Marketing Executive Lawrence Harrison said in an interview, reports OrganicAndHealthy.org, that Newport has monitored the marijuana market for quite some time. Once the soft drugs was legalized in Washington and Colorado, the cigarette company decided to go all in and start selling marijuana cigarettes.

And here's the kicker: although advertising for tobacco products is illegal nowadays, the company has 'set aside an enormous $7 billion advertising budget to market the new “Newport Nirvana” brand.' Newport is currently in negotiations with 'major networks and publishers' to 'market' the product to their audiences. In fact, Newport has already started advertising on billboards and in magazines in both Colorado and Washington.

When they’re a complete mess and have spun around to crack and meth they’ll demand to be taken care of. As they wind up their doobie binge and onto the harder stuff they’ll have frittered away enough brain cells to have furnished a functioning brain for some other idiot.

The public who votes to allow this sickness to flourish will be amazed as to how much highway carnage will be caused by this growing acceptance of marijuana.

Imagine: a cell phone in one hand, a doobie in the other and guiding the vehicle with one’s knees.

Probably a hoax:

You fell for a hoax.

Definitely a hoax!

IMO there are way too many of these fake, hoax or satirical stories re-posted by bloggers making the rounds here and at other sites.

A web site like the well-known as a hoax/fake site “tmzworldnews.com” will post a completely fake story like this and then it gets picked up and copied verbatim by other hoax sites and then by others and others and then by lazy bloggers such as Michael van der Galien who think they are “freelance journalists” when they are not and who obviously can’t be bothered to fact check anything (well neither does the MSM but that doesn’t excuse sloppiness on “our” side), and soon enough this garbage makes its way to sites I otherwise like such as PJMedia or Breitbart, and unfortunately undermining their credibility.

Seriously, would it have been all that difficult before writing your op-ed to have contacted Reynolds American Inc. Chief Marketing Executive Lawrence Harrison to confirm whether this was true or not. Would it have been too difficult to look at the source for the claim to see that it was a hoax story?

And you can’t even spell correctly – “After all, I'm quite sure none of us wants to live in a world in which heroine dealers can put up billboards telling our youth that "using heroine is cool!"

http://www.dictionary.com/browse/heroine

I’m not sure about heroinedealers putting up billboards telling our youth that "using heroine is cool!" I think that dealing “heroines” is still illegal unless of course you are talking about billboards for the Star Wars Rouge One movie. /s

Or perhaps this is your Emily Litella moment. Violins/Violence – Heroines/Heroin. NEVER MIND!

I am also curious how much money someone can actually make by setting up a website or a blog and re-posting painfully obvious hoax stories originated by someone else and how much one can make by spamming it here, on other sites, on FB, Twitter, etc.? Do you get paid by the number of reposts and links, by the word, by the number of clicks you generate? And does it help to be illiterate or is that a prerequisite? I’m looking for a part-time work from home gig. Any advice you might offer is gravely (or greatly) appreciated.

Some citizens like THC. Some citizens like cigarettes. Some elitist statist politician should figure out a way to set up a federal agency to put a stop to this while drinking Johnny Walker blue and eating sushi.

They’re doing good things with CBD infused oils. Some friends were laughing because their 101 year old grandmother we all smiles, bending her knees after treatment with the oil. I asked if they told her what was in the oil. They said” God, no. We just told her it was ‘herbal.’”

Smoking is so hazardous to your health. It doesn’t matter which plant. Pot cigarettes is an unhealthy thing. Vaping is safer for either drug.

If Big Tobacco can figure out a way to make pot not smell like a 3 day old dead skunk in July they will sell a gazillion of them.
