ROMULUS, Mich. (WJBK) - A YouTube video of a woman being dragged off a Delta flight at Detroit Metropolitan Airport surfaced online Monday morning.
The two-minute video shows a woman being dragged down the center aisle of the plane by police. It was posted by the user account Rene deLambert, and taken before a Detroit to San Diego flight. The woman, seen wearing a red shirt, is dragged by the wrists before the flight.
The woman was removed for not complying with proper boarding procedures, according to a spokesperson with the airport. She has been ticketed but not yet charged.
"At approximately 8 this morning, Delta Air Lines contacted Detroit Metropolitan Airport's police department requesting assistance with a passenger who would not comply with boarding and baggage check procedures at a McNamara Terminal gate.
"When officers arrived, Delta Air Lines stated the woman could not remain on board. Despite repeated requests by officers, the woman refused to leave the aircraft and had to be removed. She was arrested and charges are pending."
Circa 1978. I was headed to an offshore job off Bordeaux, France. Apparently the luggage tag fell of my bag. I had office information in my bags. My home office was in Stavanger, Norway. I lived in London. Apparently, they opened my bag to look for id. They found office correspondence in the bag and sent it to Norway. I looked really ridiculous on the rig. I was wearing a Bond Street suit and borrowed boots and hard hat. British Airways paid for the suit!!!!! It was not cheap! A couple of other hands took pity on me and gave me some coveralls.
I received my bags a few months later. They went to Norway and sat there for a couple of month in unclaimed luggage. The SAS people that handled ground operations for British Airways finally decided to open my luggage and found the same correspondence from my home office in Stavanger, Norway. They, then called my office in Stavanger and were told, "yes he works for us but lives in London." My bags then went back to London and most surprisingly were promptly returned to me.
She’s so fat she wears a sock on each toe.
If she were a dinosaur she would be a Jellosaurus Rex.
The guy at KFC asked her what size she wanted and she said, “Gimme dat bucket on da roof.”
Hey whoa
Don't
Even
Let
Them
Aboard
So would her dad but he’s probably dead, in prison or was already out of her life before she was born.
I’ve got an old old political cartoon from 1860 in which a free black is saying “Cullud Pe-pul don have to bey de white man’s laws!”
The officer apparently has had no training in “compliance”. Dragging a dead weight is the hard way to do things. “Encouraging” the subject to “voluntarily” cooperate and walk under their own motation while being “encouraged” and “guided” is a much easier way to do it. Untrained, you have to rely on brute force. Much easier to use the mind than the muscles. Think pressure points, joint locks and similar simple persuasion techniques.
The Brits are so damned efficient.
A few pokes with something sharp and pointy would have had her moving off under he own power...
Dragging her face down would have also been “encouraging”
On the news I think they said she charged on to the plane and refused to show a boarding pass.
Especially going down the stairs... [grin]
Very True, but still Halarious
Hey Lady, you have overloaded this plane. You are baggage.
I’m guessing the woman fell or laid down in the aisle and refused to move.
It’s the old “I’m swollen and can’t get up” excuse.
not in front of a hundred cameras
Looks to me like a jilted Obama worshiper who thought they were exalted, immune, and all too more powerful than dem cracker folks.
And the passengers were laughing at it!
or she could have been mentally ill.
If Obama had a son, he would look and act like this woman.
“8 years of Obama has left many blacks thinking that laws and rules no longer apply to them.”
AMEN to that! It is PAINFULLY APPARENT in today’s society. They are like a live bomb waiting to go off if there is any chance that they can make some type of money or notoriety from their refusal to conform to the norms of society.
