If there’s any justice, her baggage made it to San Diego.

Circa 1978. I was headed to an offshore job off Bordeaux, France. Apparently the luggage tag fell of my bag. I had office information in my bags. My home office was in Stavanger, Norway. I lived in London. Apparently, they opened my bag to look for id. They found office correspondence in the bag and sent it to Norway. I looked really ridiculous on the rig. I was wearing a Bond Street suit and borrowed boots and hard hat. British Airways paid for the suit!!!!! It was not cheap! A couple of other hands took pity on me and gave me some coveralls.

I received my bags a few months later. They went to Norway and sat there for a couple of month in unclaimed luggage. The SAS people that handled ground operations for British Airways finally decided to open my luggage and found the same correspondence from my home office in Stavanger, Norway. They, then called my office in Stavanger and were told, "yes he works for us but lives in London." My bags then went back to London and most surprisingly were promptly returned to me.
