Ditto for the Soviet Mission, which was/is opposite a NYPD precinct. Seemed like in the late sixties and up until the collapse there were protesters there at least once a month... not really, but close.
Add the perimeter patrols and call-out reserves at the UN compound, plus other missions, such as Libya, Iran, etc. NYPD has done them all in sterling fashion for decades.

Trump should seize the UN, declare it a national monument, and give the UN-bureaucritters 24 hours to clear out before the bulldozers and breaking balls arrive. The water there is probably too dirty for a beach, so... hmmm... how about a strip club, steak restaurant, a country western music dance hall, a rifle-capable target range and gun shop, an inner city youth and veterans vocational training and jobs center, a pro-life counseling center, a welcome center for LEGAL immigrants, a military museum and a physical therapy facility for the vets (did i miss anything?).

After Obama got re-elected, they never (ever) expected another Republican to be elected POTUS. They thought they had transformed the country that much.
Trump shocked them badly. Especially because they expected him to lose by a landslide. So now they are throwing everything they can at him. But nothing is working and its making them crazier and crazier. I expect them to, eventually, openly class for his assassination.
