A man who called residents of fire-ravaged Gatlinburg, Tenn., Trump-suckin pond scum has lost his job.
Funny story. I was recently in gatlinburg. Had a terrible time, I felt that the place was a cesspool of consumerism and a bastion of the worst aspects of southern culture. Turns out a wildfire just burned most of the town to the ground, Coleman Bonner said in a post late last month.
Good riddance gatlinburg. And good luck, you mouth-breathing, toothless, diabetic, cousin-humpin, mountain-drew chuggin, moon-pie-munchin, pall-mall smokin, trump-suckin pond scum.
Bonner, who was listed as posting from Wessington, Ala., ended his litany of insults by saying (chuckles, and smiles like the smarmy liberal elitist I am.)
The post has been deleted, according to AL.com. But screengrabs of the mini-rant were widely circulated on social media by those pointing out that at least 14 people are confirmed to have died in the fires that hit Gatlinburg.
Fourteen people have been confirmed dead after the weeks-long wildfires. (BILL MAY / ARROWMONT SCHOOL OF ARTS AND CRAFTS / HANDOUT/EPA) Officials say that more than 1,750 structures were damaged or destroyed by the blazes that have decimated the Great Smoky Mountains tourist region.
The southerners employer, Express Oil Change, posted on Facebook Friday that he was no longer employed at the company.
We are absolutely disgusted at what was posted, and want to emphasize that a person of this character does not represent who we are as a company, it said, expressing sympathy to those who have been affected by the fire.
A Express Oil Change spokesman told the Daily News Tuesday that Bonner had identified himself as an employee online and violated the company's social media policy.
Attempts to reach Bonner Tuesday afternoon were unsuccessful.
Officials in Gatlinburg have announced that residents will be allowed to return Wednesday and that the city plans to reopen to tourists on Friday.
Recent rain has aided firefighters trying to contain two blazes that have been burning since Nov. 23, and the National Wildfire Coordinating Group said Tuesday morning that the fires had not gained any territory overnight.
At least 10 dead in 'human-caused' Tennessee wildfires It is not known what caused the fires, though Great Smoky Mountains National Park Superintendent Cassius Cash said they were likely to be human-caused.
I always knew what they ment when my Gramma or my Ma looked at somebody and said “Bless their Heart”, didn’t need an explanation or any kind of translation.
99.9 times out of a hundred it was a way of saying what you thought; .1% of the time it was a way of just saying “I pity that poor SOB”.
AHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA!!!
I thought the EXACT same thing! When I first looked, I thought to myself, OH LORD, it’s a southern Michael Moore... That double chin is a dead ringer...
It’s an unfortunate truth that even the reddest of red states have leftist dipwads too...
Sweet Home Alabama, Lord I’m comein home to you.
Looks like the spawn of Michael Moore and Rosie O’Donnell!
No it doesn’t. It means I will beat you up and then bring you a casserole to eat while you recover. That is what I have been told and read.
He’s got more Chinns than Chinatown.
This attitude is why working-class/middle-class Americans turned out in droves to vote in the election.
We wish you a Merry Christmas. Looks like an oil company has sent you a bag of coal.
Fat, ugly, and stupid is no way to go thru life son...
I’m with you. I was grown, married, and college educated before I ever heard the profane definition. My Michigan sister-in-law was the first person to inform me of the profane version. I was quite insulted and all I could say to her was, “Bless your heart, dear.” Hahaha.
LOL If Michael Moore had a son...
OMG!!! No WONDER he is so MEAN!! He looks in a mirror and what the HELL does he see!!!
I was in Gatlinburg once on my way to the Occace watershed via Smokey Mountains National park.
Tee shirt shoppes, fudge, and fast food on a plate. We spent the night and entered the park the next morning. At the visitors center I casually remarked to a clerk how surprised I was about the booming tourist industry in town and how it reminded me of the beach.
The lady working the check out looked me in the eye and with the wisdom of age and experience replied “yep, and there’s no hope for a hurricane.”
I shall never forget that exchange. Her wisdom was profound and succinct.
This guy is what happens when Santa tells you to lay off the hamburgers and french fries and you dont listen.
Ya. Funny story, ok. Hey, doughboy, to be an elitist, first you have to be elite. You don’t qualify.
I lived in Tennessee a few years and the best thing I can say about Gatlinburg was that it was better than Pigeon Forge.
Losah, says what?
Damn...... there’s consequences???!!!
He looks like he’s the love child between Helen Thomas and Mike Moore...
Funny story. I was recently in gatlinburg. Had a terrible

Here’s actual “local” perspective from 15 (or so) years ago...

A weathered older local lady working the check-out looked me in the eye and with the wisdom of age and experience replied:
Yep, and theres no hope for a hurricane.
I shall never forget that exchange. Her wisdom was profound and succinct.
