These stories CAN be mixed. Putin does have a dark side, and could try to do something like this. That seems a rather small stash for a pedo porn addict, where the common story is not a dozen pictures, but hundreds or thousands. It’s worth tracing the provenance of cases like this. The accused man, if innocent, would be wise to volunteer his systems (on the Q.T.) as bait to whatever the English equivalent of the CIA is, while saying nothing more about it but continuing to pump out his criticism of Russia. England might publicly announce that the fellow was “cleared” but then watch his machines carefully. If Russia is trying to pollute his systems, shortly there will be another, bolder attack with a lot more pictures.
One problem with fake news is that part of it may be true, and then it gets two sets of people going at one another’s throats. Sometimes it really is best to think of whether something is “shades of grey” (no pun intended) rather than all-black, or all-white.
