President-elect Donald Trump will meet with two former GOP Primary rivals, Carly Fiorina and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, on Monday in New York City at Trump Tower, according to his transition team.
Fiorina, who briefly ran as Sen. Ted Cruz’s (R-TX) running mate during the Primary, has been a Trump critic, suggesting weeks before the election that he should “step aside” and allow his running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, to head the Republican ticket after the Washington Post published audio of Trump making lewd remarks about women with Billy Bush.
“Donald Trump does not represent me or my party. I understand the responsibility of Republicans to support their nominee. Our nominee has weighty responsibilities, as well. Donald Trump has manifestly failed in these responsibilities,” Fiorina posted on Facebook at the time.
However, after Trump won the election, Fiorina took to social media to congratulate him.
“Congratulations to President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence. The American people have spoken. Time for real change that unites us and carries our nation forward,” she wrote.

I think it’s good that, one way or another, Trump is trying to get everybody on board. Frankly, I didn’t think he’d do that, because his attacks were so personal (including on Fiorina, because he didn’t like her looks) that I thought those bridges were burned. I’m much more impressed with him now than when he was a candidate - I voted for him, since there was no way in Gehenna I was going to vote for Hillary or throw my vote away on a write in, but I really didn’t like him at all, mostly because of his bizarre attacks on other candidates. But other people enjoyed the show, so I guess that’s what makes a horse race!
In any case, I hope he offers her a position, because she’s hard working, doesn’t mind being despised for laying people off even of an overly fat private company - and that’s what a lot of Freepers didn’t like her, because her restructuring meant a lot of lay-offs and spin-offs of different units. But the company survived, even though they fired her just at the turn around point where her reforms were beginning to take effect.
She could probably carry out a lot of reforms in the right part of the beast whether in domestic or foreign areas. We are simply overwhelmed with dysfunctionality right now - and the whiny millennials are about to start to come onboard.

Yes, there are. So long as she’s siloed off in an agency and runs it into the ground as she’s done in the private sector, while subjecting them to her winning personality, I don’t see much downside. Even spiders have their place in the ecosystem.

I documented Carly’s 10 deg. head tilt and its jugular exposing purpose. Its a trick to show a perceived senee of caring and compassion.
I disagree. Put Carly in charge of some .gov agency that needs to be rendered completely ineffective. She will do a great job.

After Santorum walked willingly and head long into the Van Jones/Ana Navarro trap on the CNN “Special” this week, it must be a sympathy reception.
Santorum once again led with his own arrogance that he could give loft to reason in a den of snakes is nearly hilarious.
He got his head handed to him, naturally, and it was well deserved, serving as the pinata for salivating communists in complete control of the torture equipment used on him.
Gag. Rick needs to go sell cars to high school grads, though there are doubts he could excel doing it, imho.

I think he should also meet with F.B.I. Director James Comey, and not disclose the purpose or details of the meeting (only because it would once again drive the left nuts.)

He is possibly just feeding the media sharks, the cameras and boosting this Trump Tower cavalcade of large wigs and big egos parading through his house, while Trump himself is going to school behind closed doors on the real and monumental dangers to the Republic.
