Lets play with real numbers that are facts:

1. The total atmosphere weighs 1,800,000 BILLION tons.

2. CO2 is .04% of that which is 720 billion tons.

3. The total typical whole planet Man produced CO2 is 6 billion tons. 6 billion tons sounds like a lot but in fact it is .83% of all the CO2 on the planet.

4. Man is responsible for .83% of .04% of the atmosphere. That comes to .000033%.

5. All the plant life on the surface and in the oceans processes around 6 billion tons of CO2 every year into O2 through photosynthesis. It’s not like radiation where it builds up. If there is more CO2 there will be more plants to process the CO2 and lower it. If there is less CO2 there will be less plants to process CO2 so it will rise.

6. Water vapor is science fact to be responsible for 95% of all solar radiation heating retention, reflection or radiation back into space.

All of Man is barely a pin prick on a mile wide, mile long beach in the scheme of things. We aren’t that important.

7. CO2 dissolves in water. Earth’s oceans, making up 2/3 the surface area removes CO2 as well. (How much and at what rate I don’t know).

How much does a cubic meter (or yard) of atmosphere weigh?

Where did you get these numbers? I’d like to use your numbers but need a source first so my deniers won’t ask me where these numbers came from. Thanks

Thanks for the data, link please?

We aren’t that important.

The Left agrees. -- we aren't important -- but they mean the animals and the earth are more important than humans, who they say are the scourge of the planet. To them, reducing the population is a top priority.

Forgive me because I'm not good at math, but if the total atmosphere weighs 1.8 billion tons and CO2 is 720 billion tons, is something off here? Did you perhaps have a typo and the total atmosphere is 1.8 trillion tons? Thanks for any clarification you can offer.

Great post.

I've always said 2% of 2% of 2% so I think I'm close.

the total atmosphere is almost 6 quadrillion tons

“The total mass of Earth’s atmosphere is about 5.5 quadrillion tons, or roughly one millionth of Earth’s mass.”

https://www.britannica.com/story/how-much-does-earths-atmosphere-weigh

3: Man is responsible for approx 3.4% of the 0.04% CO2’ in the atmosphere- which works out to only 0.00136% of the atmosphere that has CO2 due directly to man

” Total combined anthropogenic greenhouse gases comprise (12,217 / 370,484) or 3.298% of all greenhouse gas concentrations, “

http://www.geocraft.com/WVFossils/greenhouse_data.html

“Total atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2) — both man-made and natural— is only about 3.62% of the overall greenhouse effect”

“Anthropogenic (man-made) CO2 contributions cause only about 0.117% of Earth’s greenhouse effect, (factoring in water vapor). This is insignificant!”

The good news: BREAKING NEWS: CLIMATE SCARE IS OVER!

The bad news: many coal plants have been closed that had years of useful life left, for no good reason at all. Much money has been wasted on green technology that is just not cost effective, in order to be eco trendy. And yet people wonder why growth in the economy is sluggish?

It’s a good thing the scare is over because Obama is leaving office and he held back sea level rise for the last 8 years single handedly.

We’d have been in deep poo poo with him leaving and the scare still on.
