Sorry for his family, RIP.
I have to say I have a good memory.
Some of the lying, hateful things he said in the past along the ways of “x, y, z derangement, unhinged stuff, etc.” really, really made me mad. I fail to see how a marine could ever be a democrat.

That was quick. He wasn’t even in the top 50 of the DeathList to go in 2016.

One of the great American legends.
He wasn’t the first man in space but he was the first American in space.
Together with Yuri Gargarin, they blazed man’s path to the heavens.
John Glenn will be sadly missed. RIP.

Unfortunately, that list of famous people who passed in 2016 is much longer.
Then again, I should not say “unfortunately” in regards to the death of Castro.

To those who didnt see eye-to-eye with his politics (and I am one of them), take a step back and look at the big picture: this man was a genuine hero
I hear you. Boy, are we going to be conflicted on the day McCain assumes room temperature.

I will miss John Glenn very much.
Sixty years ago, when I was 10, I would go fishing with John Glenn (and my father) on weekends. We lived in Buckroe Beach, Virginia.

He was a great Marine and a lousy senator. My God grant him pardon and peace.
He may be remembered as part of the Keating Five, but overall - he lived a wonderful life. God bless him.
More stuff on Mr. Glenn that I did not know... He suffered a traumatic brain injury when he fell at home in 1964 when he first ran for office. And he was on the short list for Carter's VP pick.
more.

The last of the original 7 I think.

"Boy, are we going to be conflicted on the day McCain assumes room temperature."
I'm going to have much less of a conflict when that happens. Pre-Senate, McCain didn't hold a candle to John Glenn.
