Mulally was the Project Manager who honchoed the Boeing 777 from drawing board to Certification. Ford paid him a $21 Million bonus to leave Boeing and pull Ford’s chestnuts out of the fire, which he did. The “One Ford” worldwide concept is one of Mulally’s successes.

Without getting too into the weeds I have gnomes that have dealt with him and while he has a great persona with the media while @ Ford, he is tough as nails behind the scenes.

For Mulally, I was thinking VA, or Transportation given he is now a turn around guy. However, given he never became an astronaut because of if my memory is correct color blindness, NASA is also a good fit IMHO.

So based on the standards being applied to everyone Trump talks to, both choice are now disqualified as not ivory pure enough.
Seems it is going to be rather difficult to find a Sec State pure enough for the Trump critics.
