So, this is the new conservatisms recipe for restored greatness: Political coercion shall supplant economic calculation in shaping decisions by companies in what is called, with diminishing accuracy, the private sector. This will be done partly as conservatisms challenge to liberalisms supremacy in the victimhood sweepstakes, telling aggrieved groups that they are helpless victims of vast, impersonal forces, against which they can be protected only by government interventions

How much are you willing to pay to get that worker his job back? I’m asking because money’s a little tight for me right now. Can you pick up my share?
George Will, instead of recovering from his Trump-hatred, goes further out on the Limb of Beclowning.
I’m not going to read it. Does he work in a baseball analogy somewhere?
Het Georgie poorgie, did you ever critique Obozo on the same grounds?
>> Conservatism is as irrelevant as Libertarianism
As a conservative libertarian, I resemble that remark.
Will and his like-minded dreamers are holding out for an international trade market that will never exist — a 25 YO illusion not much different than the economic fantasies advanced by Socialists.
Somebody has to pay for unemployment checks, welfare, medical care, food stamps, and Obama and lying Ryan's hoards of illegals and refugees./s
George Will is out to lunch on economics. Did George throw a fit when Obama pass out cash for clunkers? Or when Obama took over GM? It is really strange how some only squeal when their bottom line gets a squeeze. Even here you twist what I have typed into an unfounded accusation that I am advocating a 'tax' increase.
God only required 10%. I think taxation/mandates and regulations at all levels of government, (which are a form of taxation) are ungodly and obscene.
Trump has said that he will reduce government regulations and taxes on U.S. businesses . that is pro free market and THAT is why companies are agreeing to come back and invest in the USA ( as the Japan bank said today Trump's deregulating is why the bank decided
Trump's actually getting things done like building a 10 billion dollar business, winning an election defeating the whole world allied against him, negotiating with companies getting them to come back to the USA without even being elected yet etc,
Money's tight? I can see why since you seem like a moron like George Will can only say and type and bash but can't really accomplish anything . since you think you know so much why is money tight? Ridiculous..
We tried it Georgy Porgy’s way. Didn’t work. We’ll try something else now. Georgy can go jump in a lake.
Who pays those taxes?
It was a Republican, William Howard Taft, who gave us the 16th Amendment and the income tax.
Really tge government created the market? Easy there Marx

Revenue Act of 1913
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The United States Revenue Act of 1913 also known as the Tariff Act, Underwood Tariff, Underwood Act, Underwood Tariff Act, or Underwood-Simmons Act (ch. 16, 38 Stat. 114, October 3, 1913), re-imposed the federal income tax following the ratification of the Sixteenth Amendment and lowered basic tariff rates from 40% to 25%, well below the Payne-Aldrich Tariff Act of 1909. It was signed into law by President Woodrow Wilson on October 3, 1913
George is worried about his cronies.
Georgie Will has no idea how the free market works let alone is a Conservative.
Pray America woke
Wilson gave us the 17th amendment which is even worse
Yet Will supported all the bailouts and don’t remember him attacking Obama’s economic policies.
Spare me your stupidity. Government created 'NAFTA'. Government has viewed we the people as their personal slaves. They tax US into poverty, mandate US into the ground, and regulate US to death. Elected officials have even figured out how to repay their Super-packed donors via ominous spending bills. We the people are also required to fund some 'religious' charities.
