From another story: “A federal judge won’t immediately stop a statewide recount of the Nov. 8 presidential election results Wednesday after hearing 90 minutes of argument following three days of court battles in two states.

U.S. District Judge Mark Goldsmith said he will issue a written order, possibly later Wednesday, after considering requests from the Michigan Republican Party and state officials that effectively would halt the recount in light of a lower-court ruling Tuesday. The recount started Monday”.

He should have not even held a hearing. Dissolve the restraining order and been done with it.
Liberal judges are a stain on the justice system.

The ruling is not from a "lower court." The ruling is from the second highest court with jurisdiction (Goldschmidt, Sieg Heil, has none.) The recount is now unlawful. No decision by Goldschmidt or any other Federal Court can change that fact. Only the MI Supreme Court can change whether the recount is lawful.

Goldschmidt may very well rule that the "recount" -- which is now a legal nullity -- must continue, but neither he nor any other Federal Court can change the slate of electors under the US Constitution.

I imagine both sides have their appeals and oppositions already drafted and ready to file with the US Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit. Just a guess.
