The Attorney General and President-Elect Donald J. Trump have filed separate complaints for mandamus, each asking this Court to compel the Board of State Canvassers (the Board) to reject the November 30, 2016 petition of Green Party Presidential Candidate Dr. Jill Stein to recount the votes cast in the November 8, 2016 general election for the Office of President of the United States, and to cease any and all efforts to conduct the requested recount. Both the Attorney General and President-Elect Trump assert in part that Dr. Stein’s petition failed to meet the requirements of MCL 168.879(1)(b) because she is not an aggrieved candidate. We agree and issue a writ of mandamus.

It does seem that way. If he does not dissolve the order then the Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit likely will order him to. State law determines whether a recount occurs.
Wow - Stein’s lawyer admits that Stein is not an “aggrieved party”. How can the judge possible rule in their favor?
The Appeals Court has already clearly forbade him from going the route of disputing the state’s law.
He has to find something else.
Something the Appeals Court will shoot down, but not be offended by.
After all, he looks the fool for causing a pointless recount that has to be ended without completion.

Recounts don’t much ‘check’ elecion results.
That requires a contest of the election, or at least an audit.

Goldsmith is holding a dog and pony show for sh#ts and giggles.
He should have simply announced to all parties that due to the MI Court of Appeals ruling last night, the recount is over and the TRO is voided.
Any other outcome should result in his immediate impeachment and removal from office. The 6th District already has said he exceeded his authority by stating that the recount could not stop until he said so.
