On Tuesday, disgruntled Democrats held a forum to discuss the possibility of replacing the Electoral College.
Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-CA) conceded that Democrats could not get rid of the Electoral College due to the way the United States Constitution is written.
“I don’t think we can sustain our American democracy by having the majority ruled by the minority. And so the question is how to fix this since the Constitution is written in such a way that it’s almost impossible to amend,” Lofgren said.
Lofgren went on to say she is open to a Constitutional Convention, “We are three states away from calling for a Constitutional Convention. It’s something I’ve always been opposed to, …. But I’ll say because, for the second time in sixteen years, people the American voters elected did not become president. Rational people, not the fringe, are now talking about whether states could be separated from the U.S., whether we should have a Constitutional Convention. And I think as time goes on that is apt to become more the case unless we here can figure an answer to preventing the majority from being ruled by the minority.
It is not as though Mark Levin was unaware.

A Convention of the States can be called by the requisite number of states to PROPOSE AMENDMENTS to the Constitution.
Those ‘proposed’ amendments still have to be ratified by the requisite number of states.
The Convention of States is simply a way to get around the Congress obfuscating the amendment process.
A Constitutional Convention, on the other hand, is a convention to scrap the Constitution as currently written in favor of a new one, from scratch. The old Constitution will remain in effect until the requisite number of states ratify the new one...............

Really? You don’t like being ruled by the minority? Actually, the way I see it, the majority did win the election. This is the “United” states. It’s a unity of sovereign states that are supposed to have state’s rights. Meaning each states populace as a whole gets to have a say as to who gets to be prez. That’s why we have the electoral college, to give each state it’s say as to how the election comes out.
So the majority (of states) did win. Having leftist whacko infested states like California running the whole show based solely on a national popular vote is just not what the working class of America wants.
Friendly word of advice to Lofgren and the democrats. Not a good idea. If you are successful there is a high probability that you would starve.

I look at the map and wonder: "Where are they gonna get their gas?" or better: "I wonder what they are gonna eat?"
How about we just sell their states to Iran and let them be converted by the religion they so love and defend, and we could use the money.
