2m2 minutes ago...@realDonaldTrump feed:
Boeing is building a brand new 747 Air Force One for future presidents, but costs are out of control, more than $4 billion. Cancel order!
Almost doesn’t matter. As Napolean said (when an otherwise “innocent” general was ordered killed) ... “To encourage the others”
Yep...0zika & the Dims have to pay for all of that food/shelter - for the ILLEGALS - somehow. Just more gravy, made from OPM, for the pot.
Love how Trump trolls the Libs/MSM.
Bingo.
His was the opening salvo of negotiations, plain and simple.
No more cash cow federal government. Control costs now!
Why do I think Trump will be stopping at a Boeing plant soon.
By the time it’s rolled out, Trump will be a former POTUS.
If AF1 needs an upgrade, even if it costs billions, so be it. Might make all the difference, some difficult day.
“I can pick up a gently used model from a bankrupt airline
for a small fraction of that”.
So did Varney on FBN. I bet CNN will have the labor union on momentarily bashing Trump for this.
Has he made any comments on the 125 billion in waste at the Pentagon yet?
When he’s done with it, the price will go down $1,000,000,000 you’ll see. This guy really understands how to control the narrative. And Boeing will be happy to do it...
That’s my guess
Project continues with reduced budget and under watchful eyes
Just yesterday there was story about pentagon hiding $125 billion spending - attributed to bloated payoffs to contractors
Who was really minding the helm?
Gawd imagine if hillary was incoming. The fraud waste greed corruption and incompetence
Does PE Trump have the authority to cancel it?
Unquestionably the costs are out of control.
But I don’t want Trump flying overseas in a vulnerable target.
Never know...might wind up being one of those $1 deals.
yeah making the negotiation but we need a top-of-the-line jet for president Trump. He’s not going to update his own plane with fancy gadgets. That’s an insane statement. Deal with them and get most secure plane possible.
Didn’t Sarah Palin do something like this as Alaska Governor?
Exactly.
Trump: "Oh, I see. So you wrote that contract with a sweetheart clause to get paid regardless of performance. Fine. Good luck with any future contracts. Good bye."
Boeing execs: "No! Wait!"
Great way to start off the negotiations, and let the CEOs of major defense vendors know that they need to up their game and provide more value for the taxpayers under the Trump administration.
So will those charged with securing the POTUS. I do hope Trump isn't penny wise and pound foolish with this--for his sake, and ours.
