Rosie O’Donnell is saying sorry -- and locking up her Twitter account.
The outspoken comedian and former “The View” co-host came under fire for sharing a video speculating about whether or not Donald and Melania Trump’s 10-year-old son, Barron, could be autistic.
Shortly before making her Twitter account private on Thursday, O’Donnell wrote a message apologizing to the future First Lady. “I apologize to @MELANIATRUMP - i was insensitive in my RT - i am sorry for the pain i caused - it was not my intent - i am truly sorry,” O’Donnell wrote.
The YouTube user who posted the original video also released an apology Thursday after taking down the clip.
“It was incredibly irresponsible of me to diagnose Barron Trump using a selection of misleading videos,” the YouTuber said in a statement to TMZ. “I falsely correlated him trying to stay awake and occasionally doing quirky things, with him suffering from autism.”

Rosie O’Donnell implied that a 10-year-old child is autistic, just because she doesn’t like his father? Even by the low standards I expected from her, that is disgusting. And, no, I don’t for one moment believe she did not intend to cause pain with her vicious attack on a child.

President Trump has been far too mild when criticizing that disgusting and evil woman. The correct response to their ongoing rudeness would have been to be rude about him, not about his pre-teen son. Picking on young children because you don’t like their parents is so low that I thought even liberals would not stoop to that level. As usually happens when I expect decency from the left, I turned out to be wrong.

And it went down hill from there. Two other threads were pulled. And that video that Melania had removed with apology had been posted at #44 and defended by the gang.
It’s a combination of pure jealousy of this family or they’re looking for a poster child and related funding for the cause to benefit themselves or a family member. Or they’re just indiscriminate idiots with no sense of shame.
