President-elect Donald Trump is intent on repealing Obamacare, but nearly half of Americans say they arent so keen on dismantling the health care reform law.
Some 49% of Americans want Trump and Congress to either expand Obamacare or continue implementing the law as it is, according to a Kaiser Family Foundation poll released Thursday.
Another 26% want the entire law repealed, while 17% would like the law scaled back.
Trump and GOP Congressional leaders have said they plan to take up Obamacares repeal as soon the incoming president takes office on January 20. They are looking at repealing the law through the budget reconciliation process, which allows Congress to approve measures related to revenue and spending with only a simple majority, rather than 60 votes.
What remains unclear is what would replace Obamacare.

From the same pollers who told you hilLIARy would win
Because we can believe the ABDNCBS polls.
Pray America woke
It is probably not far off when you consider 43% or better of the population is being taken care of by .gov and another large percent is making their living from the whole racket.
A better indicator of sentiment would be polling those that actually work/pay taxes for a living........
Yep. I believe this polll. Obamacare is just like any other welfare entitlement now. Those that benefit from it don’t want it changed. Dems who want socialized medicine don’t want it to go away either.
Allow competition across state lines.
End the individual mandate and penalty.
Grandfather the people with preexisting conditions.
Gradually sunset the subsidies.
That about says it all.
These are the ones that get it free right? Technically as a military retiree I get free medical so I should keep quiet but I do worry about my children and grandchildren who are taking it up the you know what. There must be a better way. The old way wouldn’t be bad if the drug companies, gougers and tort control were handled differently along with more interstate competition. High education costs and exorbitant salaries should be looked into as well. I remember Archie Bunker stayed a few days in the hospital on one old episode and gripped that he had to pay $150. Those were the days!
I DO NOT TRUST POLLS! They got everything wrong before the election, again! My son had health insurance until Obamacare. Private health insurance was affordable. I bought him catastrophic care only, not coverage for every sniffle and shot and pill. Then with ObamaCare you had to pay minimum of $244 a month and it included no treatment. No prescriptions, and had co-pay, and annual deduction was 5 or 6 thousand bucks. It wasn’t worth the cost for a young man, early 30s, who never goes to a doctor. He was only making $1K a month at the time, and his rent was $560. Then there was food, gas, auto insurance, car maintenance, clothes, shoes, utilities, etc. When we signed him up for Obamacare it was supposed to be under a month, since he was low income, and qualified for subsidies, in California. Then the bills came in at $244 a month. So he has gone without health insurance for years. Our daughter is having a baby, has no health insurance, is paying THOUSANDS up front for the birth. I do not know anyone who can afford Obamacare.
We are over 65 and forced into Medicare. It costs us $488 a month for the two of us, deducted from our Social Security check. We never go to a doctor. He hasn’t had a medical emergency since he was 19. I have never had one.
I hope they can at least FIX ObamaCare!
Elections have consequences, bitchez. You shoved it down our throats, we are just removing it.
I also believe this poll as much as the ones showing Clinton with a 12 point lead.
Amen! Once they can vote to TAKE everything, they do! So many freeloaders in US now.
That terrorist on OSU campus was getting everything free, he even had a car. We paid for his lifestyle.
Absolute BS.... Fake polls to drive a narrative.
You can Burn it to th ground and buy everyone private insurance directly and not spend the kind of money that’s been spent on this abomination of a law
My reply from two days ago, I think the author was reading my mail.

“...the plan that will replace it.” AAGGHHH!!!
WE ARE SO SCREWED!
Of course the original thieving, lying, ripoff, sack-of-excrement Ponzi scheme that is Medicare will be replaced by more schemes to steal from others. Why not? No one ever lost money overestimating the stupidity of the American people. Bernie Madoff should have been made president, instead of being arrested.
I would glady give up everything already stolen from me in the names of Social Security and Medicare if Americans would just admit that it was really all just a big con-game to begin with and end them.
Until the generation that worshipped FDR is dead and gone, there can be no recovery.
Why does there have to be a plan to replace it?
Social inertia based on lies is just as difficult to overcome as that which is based on truth.
I’ll go with #7. Wife’s healthcare cost went from around $3,000 to over $9,600 because she’s retired and not yet eligible for Medicare. Of course the deductibles rose to a level that we never met them. Thank goodness she’s in excellent health. After a few years of getting gouged for insurance premiums we found Medishare. We still pay more than before Obamacare but just about cut her premiums in half.
I'm shocked!
First of all, polls. Second, polls with no underlying demographics. Any “conclusion” drawn from such is garbage. They’re making stuff up.
Gotta say all of the above. Think about it logically. Trump won on a promise to gut the obamacare obamanation. It has never enjoyed anything resembling popular support, and that was before its repeated failures. Now we’re supposed to believe that a Trump-voting public that knows how badly obamacare is flawed is increasing its support?
When polls lie this badly, they’re easy to disregard.
49%, eh? Obviously comprised of the 47% who are gimmedats, plus a few other useful idiots.
