President-elect Donald Trump broke bread with a fierce critic and now-possible cabinet pick Mitt Romney Tuesday night at Jean Georges Restaurant in Trump International Hotel.
Trump, joined by his chief of staff designate Reince Priebus, sat with Romney at the fancy French eatery in Columbus Circle.
The meeting took place after a weekend of internal strife in his campaign over whether to hire the former Massachusetts governor as Secretary of State.

"Sundance" (The Conservative Treehouse) tweeted that he thinks Trump is going to appoint Romney as custodian of his business empire. WOW.....that's unexpected.
Trump style.
More WIN.

I hate having to attend business meetings where there’s food being served. I’m usually too nervous to eat, and I want to find out the real reason for the “meeting” in the first place. This is how high level businessmen still act, though.
Almost holding a Tea Ceremony, like the traditional Japanese do. Business only coming after lots of fake smiling and small talk.

Worth remembering that GHW Bush trashed Ronald Reagan for their entire nomination campaign.
Reagan asked him to be Vice Prez. Well beyond SoS. Bush said yes and served well.

Romney has lots of experience with office supplies, so perhaps Trump will offer him a job managing the WH office supply department. He can get Staples to give discounts, saving taxpayers even more money right there.

Somebody took some pictures at the restaurant and they ended up on Twitter and the NY Post article. Can’t imagine Trump would allow it if he didn’t want to.

Read that piece from American Thinker. Even if Romney gets to be SoS, so what? It'll be in name only. Trump's foreign policy will be conducted from the WH anyway. Substitute Bolton for Romney and you have a deal.

My guess is Trump is not asking for an apology for himself but rather informing Romney that if he wants any kind of voice in the next four years he needs to get extra contrite and apologize to Trump’s supporters.

I think Romney would make a nice chairman of the FED. He’s a big money man, Wall Street experience.

While I’ve come to detest Romney, I trust Trump’s judgement. Lincoln selected all three of his convention rivals for his cabinet, although none of them behaved as despicably as Romney did. The old saying - keep your friends close and your enemies closer.
