Stein calls Wisconsin recount cost 'exorbitant'(Asks for $2.4 Million MORE Today)

MADISON, WIS. Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein says she's committed to pay for a vote recount in Wisconsin even though she calls the estimated $3.5 million cost "exorbitant."

Stein says the estimate Monday from Wisconsin election officials means she'll be asking her supporters to raise another $2.4 million. In a statement Tuesday, Stein says it's an "undue burden" but won't stop efforts for recounts in that state and in Michigan and Pennsylvania.

If there was any consistency at all to Stein's supposed concern over proper vote tallies, NH would be the first state on her list as it would be the most likely state to flip in a recount. Less than 3,000 votes separated Trump from Clinton.

Of course, we all know the real reason why NH is not being challenged and why we are instead looking at WI, MI and PA.

Dear Ms. Stein—just give it up. If you think Wisconsin is expensive, try doing it in Michigan and Pennsylvania, where the costs will likely be way north of US$10 million for each state. I don’t think even George Soros is willing to pony up that much money....

There was an additional $1.1 million filing fee, as I understand it. Add that to $3.5 million and you’re up to $4.6 million. On top of that, you have to pay your lawyers - I doubt all the lawyers are doing pro bono work for her. So that pretty much taps out what she’s raised so far just for WI.

She’ll need around $1 million more to meet the total filing fees in PA and MI. Since those states are much larger states, you could expect recount fees to be higher than those of WI. So she’s look at close to $20 million needed for the three states, if not more.

Her stupidity is starting to cost real money.
