ROBINSON, WASHINGTON POST: The inequality of income and the division of society into haves and have-nots, and the way some people are getting rich. He didn't like it one bit. So he was, indeed in that sense, a true believer in the decrepit, antiquated, oppressive, communist system he put in place. As long as he drew breath... there were limits beyond which Raul Castro in any attempt to modernize or reform, limits beyond which it was difficult for him to go.

Eugene unnecessarily proves yet again that he is a total idiot, like all leftists.
In 2006 Forbes estimated his fortune at 900 million. La Revolution has been berry berry good to him.
He was sacrificed himself by confiscating the dirty, filthy money that was sure to ruin the common people.
Castro loved income inequality as long as the Castros lived like kings while the people starved.
Orwell nailed the commies dead on in Animal Farm making them the pigs.
Income equality is a bad thing. The more equal incomes are, the more rapidly they will approach zero.
Leftists don’t care about income inequality. They care about people doing things they didn’t authorize and don’t control. That drives them bonkers. Some of them will shoot you to make you stop.
People should be free to be poor or rich. Charity issues should be handled by churches and politically unentangled philanthrophic entities, not governments.
[[Robinson, you are such an idiot.
Castro didn’t like “income equality” when he was at the bottom.
So, he got enough people to revolt against Batista, then installed himself in Batista’s place.
All he did was depose one tyrant, and replace him with another tyrant — himself. ]]
Castro was never at the bottom.
He came from a middle class family and he had a college education .
Cuba had a huge middle class before Castro.
Being rich makes one dangerous to a nanny. That’s one reason why Donald Trump is the nannies’ nightmare today.
Like all leftists, they believe that the ruling class should live better than the peasants.
***...the way some people are getting rich. He didn’t like it one bit.***
So he ended up one of the richest men in the world, with 11 million slaves to do his bidding and an entire island and a smaller one for his “kingdom”.
Did he live in typical Cuban quarters? Did he have to shop typical Cuban markets and buy what he found available? Did he have to go to the people’s clinic when ill?
But, consider the source.
Under Castro, the LUCKY one’s were SHOT.
One of Uncle Fidel’s favorite methods of dispatching those he most hated was absolutely diabolical.
The bastard had a nearly air-tight glass booth constructed to hold a single individual.
The floor of the thing was perforated with hundreds of holes. Under the floor was a powerful blower. The floor would be covered with powered glass dust and slightly larger bits.
Do I need to explain the next part? Uncle Fidel and his invited guests, complimentary Cuban cigars in hand, watched as the blower was switched on amid the short-lived screams of the victim-du-jour.
THIS is the MONSTER now being lionized by obozo, the leftist morons of the MSM and outright COMMUNIST fellow travelers here in America.
FAIR WARNING: If the left (aka DEMOCRATS) ever achieves full control, even worse will come HERE!
Very true.
Yes, people in Cuba are “equal”, in that, they are equally miserable and equally destitute.
Average incomes, even for professional people such as doctors, is about the equivalent of $30 per month.
One of the biggest sources of foreign trade and hard currency, is, sad to say, prostitution. People send their daughters out to consort with foreign men. Ordinary Cuban housewives supplement the family income by making themselves available to foreign visitors.
But in spite of it all, they are all equal. And they have “free” healthcare.
And he is absolutely right.
And he died on Black Friday! ;)
he was reported to be like the 14’th richest man in the world or something
Yeah sure right. That’s why he lived in luxury while Cubans starved
In Cuba everyone was equally poor except Castro and his handpicked minions.
In the great game of “Stupid Things People Have Said”, Robinson steps up and hits a grand-slam with his comments about Castro.
