On November 8th, Fidel was doing very poorly and was sounded disoriented. However, he was aware of the election in America between his friends, The Clintons, and the patriotic American-Donald Trump.
El Comandante assumed that globalizing socialist was destined to become the next US president. And so he laid down with a happy smile on his face and went to sleep. The nursing staff took over and monitored his vital signs. His family went to the other room to watch the news of the US election.
When the Castro sons realized that Donald Trump had won in America they threw their mojitos out the window and got in a horrible fight about their future in Cuba. And now for the hard part, no one dared to be the one to wake and tell their father. Since he appeared comatose any way, why bother the old man? Fortunately for everyone, Fidel remained semi-conscious for many days.
When ever he would stir, an argument ensued. The seven sons debated who would have to deliver the devastating news that Trump had won. Fidels doctor had suggested that they not tell him anything. Or, tell their father that the Clintons won again and all remains the same for Cuba. The same miserable communist life for the people, and a life of opulence and great wealth for the Castro familia.
Yesterday they argued so loudly, Fidel awoke. He was back to his usual self and he wanted to watch the election results. They quickly summoned Uncle Raul to deliver the terrible news to Fidel. Raul Castro had been busy scheming over their fate. He came in around 10:20PM and he leaned over Fidel's bed and whispered in his ear,
Dearest brother, It seems that the Americans have chosen Donald Trump to be their leader, I am very sorry for all of us." "Your billion dollar loot combined with my five hundred millions should be enough for us to live handsomely in exile." "We should leave before the United States gets the real American president in office." "Fidel, I have checked, they have room for us in Bolivia or Mexico."
With that news, Fidels eyes grew big and round, he clutched his chest and he died. And that was that. News of Donald Trumps glorious win gave Castro a massive heart attack.

Beautiful painting. Where is it from?
How did the Cuban population vote in Florida — Trump or Clinton?
Well that settles it then: Fidelito will be Hijo Numero Uno.
Hopefully, he will disappear and spend the rest of his miserable life in a gulag.
It isn’t a real story, of course. This same poster has vaguely and conspiratorially tied in Cruz’s father, George H.W. Bush, and “5 Cubans” to Kennedy’s assassination before, among several other “interesting” beliefs that are in no way evidence based. I’m just mentioning that so you can understand the type you’re dealing with here...
Another Trump Win!
Yep. They are scared of the new sheriff coming to town.
Show one of those graphics of him dressed in an American Revolution uniform and that is enough for them to pull their hair out.
Thanks. Maybe JR should be on the alert to this FReeper’s “News/Activism” that isn’t.
Trump.
Look for the Trump dressed as a revolutionary soilder with the eagle.
Well done, thanks.
The Orange Bowl Stadium committee was contacted ten years ago when Fidel was last rumored to have died or been at death’s door. City commissioners were trying to get cooperation or an approval to book the stadium for an impromptu celebration date. The initial planning included guest speakers, salsa bands, banners, a parade, t-shirts and so on. Too bad the Orange Bowl is gone, what a perfect venue that would have been at this time.
When Castro dies, Miami will party like it’s 1959!

Better than the white vote. Trump went to the heart and soul of the original Cuban-Exile community last month:

Thanks to the Veterans from the Bay of Pigs for their timely endorsement before the Cuban community. It was their first time ever to endorse a president. Having been burned before by JFK, they have had serious trust issues the past 55 years.
I did not place it as news or activism.
It was listed it as a personal blog categories humor & politics & chit/chat
Here’s a bittersweet story that’s vaguely related. My 82-year-old quilting friend had been very ill for a few years — diabetes, kidneys (on dialysis 3x week), and miscellaneous other issues. Absolutely despised Hillary and loved Trump. She couldn’t stop talking about it.
On election day around noon she went into a coma, and just yesterday she passed away. When her daughter called to let me know, I asked if she ever got to know that Hillary had lost the election. She said that, yes, she had been awake and lucid for a couple days during that time so they told her. She was so happy!
Elian Gonzalex was not Fidel’s first kidnapping, his own son was kidnapped by both mom and dad in a custody battle. Fidel prevailed.
Fidelito Castro (b.1949) only officially recognized offspring
Fidel’s first wife, Mirta Diaz-Balart, divorced him mid-1950s and took Fidelito to Miami. Castro wanted his son kept from Mirta’s family since her brother was Rafael Diaz-Balart (Batista’s government official.) His sons, Mario and Lincoln Diaz-Balart (Fidel’s nephews) became Florida Congressmen who vocalized the exile opposition to Castro’s Communist regime.
In 1956, Castro persuaded ex-wife-Mirta to send Fidelito for a visit when he was in Mexico, then refused to send him back.... Three armed men jumped from a car and grabbed Fidelito to return him to his mother....... Later, adult Fidelito ran Cuba’s Atomic Energy Commission until Fidel removed him in the early 1990s.
Heh..my mom is 95 and she cared passionately about this election. Personally, I think she is in love with our new president!
Hmmm, you probably meant to, but if you click on the thread, the upper right corner identifies the thread as “News/Activism”.
I think the Sidebar Mod moved it early on when they gave me a “heh!”
After Personal/Blogger, I distinctively remember the long list of choices and checking 3 boxes. That page looks nothing like the other where I nearly always post.
If I were in News, I would have checked ‘Foreign,’ for sure.
The narrative had some early clues:
“his sons through their Mojitos out the window” (Mojito is a Cuban cocktail)
“The same miserable communist life for the people, and a life of opulence and great wealth for the Castro familia.” (we speak this way, they don’t)
And consider the ending with the money and the whispering....
Only Raul or Fidel could retell this story. I’m not Raul.
Certainly plausible, just need verification before I pass it on.
As far as communist/socialist/totalitarian goes (no difference really), history has shown time and again, as now, how miserable it is. And yet, incredibly, so many people buy into it. Like dumb sheep going to their slaughter.
