Oops! Jill Stein Cannot File Direct Request for Recount in Pennsylvania, Must Take It to Court

Per Pennsylvania regulations, there is only one way remaining for Jill Stein to get a recount in Pennsylvania and it is a complicated process. BillyPenn reports that Stein would have to file for a court appeal and present a “prima facie case” showing that voter fraud took place. While prima facie has a lower burden of proof threshold than “beyond reasonable doubt,” it is still significant. Stein would have to prove in court that fraud was “probable.” This is going to be very difficult given that even the computer specialists recommending the recount say there is no proof of hacking or fraud...

Stein has to prove that fraud took place:

In addition to submitting the petition, Stein must demonstrate that "a mistake or fraud has been committed. She has not yet done so.

Wait a minute! She says that if they don’t use the money for the recounts, she’s going to use it to further “voter integrity!” In other words, she’s going to use it to devise newer, hopefully more effective vote fraud schemes.

The deadline for petitions was Friday 11/25. Ms. Stein did not pay even one dollar toward the estimated recount-cost at the time of her petition, therefore her petition is not valid, and the WEC does not have authority to bend or change election law after the election." I've read the Wisconsin statute concerning recounts. The statute states that the petitioner is required to pay for the recount after the cost has been estimated by the board of elections.

It's not possible to pay for the recount at the time of filing, if the cost isn't known.

It is true that the recount won't begin until Stein pays for it in full.
