Delete yourself from the internet by pressing this button

The internet can be a beautiful and horrible place at the same time, and it isn’t weird to sometimes feel like you want to leave — there’s wasn’t an easy way out, until now.

Swedish developers Wille Dahlbo and Linus Unnebäck created Deseat.me, which offers a way to wipe your entire existence off the internet in a few clicks.

When logging into the website with a Google account it scans for apps and services you’ve created an account for, and creates a list of them with easy delete links.

Every account it finds gets paired with an easy delete link pointing to the unsubscribe page for that service. Within in a few clicks you’re freed from it, and depending on how long you need to work through the entire list, you can be account-less within the hour.

If you’re getting tired of social media and internet-induced stress in general, it’s the quickest way to get back to a state of tranquility — and to be honest, that doesn’t sound like a bad idea.

Thank you. I feel better now. It was getting a bit lonely in my little basket of deplorableness (or is it “deplorability?”)

When logging into the website with a Google account ...

They probably just archived your entire existence.

Nope, I don’t have any of those either. Does kind of limit what I can do, but I get along just fine.

If it sounds to good to be true . . .

There has got to be a catch of some kind.

And I have never even had a cellphone!

And here I thought I was the ultimate Primitive in never upgrading my cellphone to a smart-phone.

NB: There will likely still be a shocking amount of information on you and your family links on foul “public information” sites like spokeo.com, radaris.com, and the like. They raid phone books and county real estate sales records.

Hillary has been leaning on that button ever since the site went up...

America leaned on the ALT-CTRL-DELETE buttons on Clinton.

If you click on their terms of service one one of the headings is “If You Brake The Rules”. A real quality operation all right. If anyone has the courage to try it let me know.

“deseat.me would like to:

View your emails messages and settings
Know who you are on Google
View your email address”

That stopped me, too. Too invasive. Besides, what about backups or offsite storages, etc.

“If you buy a house, it is public record.”

Unless you are a member of a ‘protected class’

In many states (mine Florida) almost anyone who works for the government in any form, CAN HIDE their property ownership and all other info that the rest of us sheeple ARE FORCED to have publicly viewable.

TIME TO STOP THE PRIVILEGED class. In Florida this allows deceptive assessment of govt employee owned properties as neighbors CANNOT see values like the rest of us.
