TRUMP FAMILY TRANSITION THREAD - Countdown week 8 (November 25-December 1, 2016)
Friends | November 25, 2016 | DollyCali

WELCOME TO THE TRUMP FAMILY TRAIN

TRANSITION. We are in the third week since the election until the Inauguration

SEVERAL picks so far. LOTS of speculation and misinformation along the way

This week the country loudly let the PEOTUS know mittens was not on most favored list. Trump let the media know they were NOT on his most favored list. A snark designer who helped keep MO tacky advised other designers to stay away from Melania professionally. We ate too much probably on Thanksgiving and we possibly weren't appreciative enough of the blessings in this life.

Interesting his connection with the FEC.

Maybe he will work on voter IDs for all states.

Can’t be a DL since CA and others give DL to illegals.

That sure would solve part of the problem.

I have no idea where these young folk have gotten their education (or noneducation) but I do know all of the history from Christopher Columbus up to the present day are taught in our small school district.

I read somewhere that the powers that be in the fed. DoE wanted to start teaching history from WWII to the present.

Forget the discovery of the country and the Founding Fathers, who they do not look on favorably.

It is amazing what college students don’t know about out history.

I have some of my mother’s grade school exams from the late 30s. My goodness. Her penmanship was flawless. Her history and math exams were comparable to today’s college level.

“Her history and math exams were comparable to today’s college level.”

I can believe that.

I saw a copy of an 8th grade exam from back when 8th was as far as many went.

It was something that most college bound kids could not pass today, very hard and covered more subjects than are covered today.

And I bemoan the fact that cursive is no longer taught.

I would imagine it tastes like pumpkin due to similar spices.

I have never been able to tell the difference.

I think I learned the Pilgrims came to America and Columbus sailed the ocean blue in 14 hundred 92 in 1st or 2nd grade - now some don’t have a clue. It’s totally unbelievable to me. So happy to hear that your small school district is teaching appropriately - hope many others are as well.

One problem I see/heard a long time ago is that a lot of the folks writing and publishing school text books are big libs, so they rewrite history and leave out important parts.

Dims pushing for inquiry on Trumps transition team.

Love this lady Brunnel, she really whops the dim and he is so rude, which I notice they always butt in and talk over when they are losing.

Well, I went to school many years after your mom, but I felt I got a great education in public schools and that they were much harder than today (like college type courses today, as you said). When I first starting learning cursive, 4th grade IIRC, I really liked it and would use our little book and practice and practice. Not being braggadocios but I’ve been complimented on my hand writing many times over the years. I’ve had staff, managers and coworkers writing that I could not read/had problems deciphering. Perhaps that’s why many guys have gone to printing??

This is true and one reason our district has used the same book for well over 10 years.

One test I have been told to use in assessing a school history book is check out what is printed about Reagan.

As a youngster I enjoyed school and learning. My teachers were strict, but nice. They cared about their students. They praised when right and scolded when wrong.

So libs, what's wrong with that?

Hahahaha!

I'm trying something new today with my pets. I'm feeding them about 1.5 hours later with the idea I can feed them later in the a.m. (good luck with that, lysie)

Well, the 3 dogs and 5 cats are 2 feet away and starring at me. LOL. I flinch, they move. I flinch, they move. Hahaha!

I tried this before and gave in 'cause they were annoying. I told myself, feed at 4:00. That's what I'm doing.

During the entire campaign, I regularly used the "message box" provided on the Official Trump Campaign website.

Now, the web page looks out of date and the emailing "message box" feature no longer works.

Does anyone have a new Official Trump website link with an emailing feature? I would appreciate your assistance tres mucho!

Leni
