I like the idea of vouchers, but my main concern would be that the government will then try to dictate what the private or religious schools will teach in order to conform to the prevalent left wing societal standards of sexual (im)morality, etc. Maybe less of a concern under Trump, but would be under any future or local Dem administration.
2. By whatever name, Christian parents form local school corporations of boards, and directly hire the non-union teachers of your choice.
3. Churches, sponsor church schools.
4. ALL. Tell government to get out of the education business and stop funding government-union public education through private property taxation.

Isn’t it ironic that the Dept of Ed may be the catalyst for the undoing of the public school system in this country? Had it been dismantled by a conservative administration or never established in the first place, school districts would have successfully operated under local control as they had since the 19th century, and would undoubtedly continue to do so in perpetuity. In fact, it is the over reaching and agenda-driven federal government which will be the demise of the public school system in America.
The left has had its way for so long they can’t comprehend principled opposition from postions of power. I long to the day the teachers untions are untterly destroyed.
