Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Gina McCarthy said Monday during a speech at the National Press Club that the train to a global clean energy future has already left the station and that the U.S. can get on board and provide leadership or get left behind.
Science tells us that there is no bigger threat to American progress and prosperity than the threat of global climate change, and if you take absolutely nothing else from my speech today, take this: the train to a global clean energy future has already left the station. So we have a choice: we can choose to get on board and to actually provide leadership or we can choose to be left behind, to stand stubbornly still, she said.

Perpetual motion machines violate the laws of thermodynamics, particularly the first one, which stipulates that energy can never be created in the material sphere.
I agree, but I'm pretty sure we disagree on what exactly the "thread of global climate change" is. To me, the threat of climate change isn't something that may affect long term weather patterns. The threat of global climate change is the threat of those people who want to use that "threat" as a pretense to take power and control and redistribute wealth. The real threat of "climate change" is from people just like the current EPA Administrator.
“Perpetual motion machines violate the laws of thermodynamics . . .”
What does a liberal care about the laws of anything?

They think that evolution is a law. That’s how much they love real science.
Physical laws such as thermodynamics are inescapable.
I have a crazy solution to global warming, if it exists:
Dam all the rivers.
If rainfall on land is prevented from reaching the oceans, it lessens the problem of clean water that we keep hearing about, both for drinking and farming. Sounds good, right ? But the other result is that ocean levels will DROP if the precipitation is retained on land.
Rising sea level problem SOLVED !
If there is no global warming, then we still make the most of clean water, so it is worth doing anyway.
Not sure that’s true. Wave/tidal generators and hydro-electric plant are pretty clean. So is geo-thermal. Unfortunately, enviro-whackos insist on dismantling hydro-power and the others are too location specific and weak to sustain or grow an economy.
In 20 years the sea levels will begin to fall, as the year round snow pack reaches further and closer to the equator. In 50 years, there may be glacier formation as far south as the Canadian and US border. It will probably be blamed on CO 2 levels, and we must burn less fossil fuels or the planet will overheat.

I Demand to be left behind!
Screw those idiots
Now it is just another liberal monument to stupidity!!! (and waste of tax money) The petty, selfish bastards were pist because the Bureau of Reclaimation blocked their rafting on the Stanislaus river in the 1960's. It filled so fast it almost drowned one of their stupider number who chained himself to a rock in a futile effort to stop the project.
Not for very much longer.
Magenta
now, now. They mean well :)
Gina, we need that CO2 for the plants. It’s the plants that make our oxygen!
One thing I remember about Palin was her determination to cut bureaucratic red tape and cut costs in Alaska.
I would love to see her as Trump’s henchwoman, being appointed to the EPA, and leaving it in two years after reducing it to a tenth of its original size, to handle another agency and cut it down to size too.
Gina is like a chicken after its head is cut off. No life or future but still lots of autonomous action.
She doesn’t realize she is dead yet and that the hoax is dead as well.
Yes, Please leave me behind, Gina.
Leave me so far behind that I never hear another word from your yap, nor read another word of your claptrap.
