The US Federal government has zero responsibility for slavery. No Federal law authorized or imposed it on anyone. The slave states are the ones responsible. So they are the ones which would owe reparations, if any valid claimants still live.

Simple solution: Congress should pass a law placing a $10,000 “reparations surcharge” each semester on white college student tuitions. That will end the appetite for this kind of liberal garbage.

I’m also OK with reparations. Every living person who held slaves should compensate every living slave he once owned. But then again, that debt was paid in full with the 500,000 or so lives lost in the war that freed them.

We've already been paying reparations in the form of taxes that pays for their food, medical care, housing, phones, etc...at least one day a week 52 days a year for as many years as we've worked. One other question - Rye, do you have black blood flowing through your veins?
