I'm thinking immediate border land neighbors would be split, because the fence and it's attendant support would eat up some of their land, and change it's character. No more peaceful unobstructed view of the placid Rio Grande, por ejemplo.

I'd also bet that if you averaged responses over people within, mebbe 25 miles of the border, you'd find them overwhelmingly for it.

This news story is appearing pretty much every day on different msm mouthpiece stations. Not a "talking points memo"; they need to be more subtle here. But the same basic story, rewritten in original words again and again, at least 4 times now that I have seen.

BTW: Actual interviews with property owners along the border claim they are all in favor of the wall.

Immense cost? I've heard 17 billion to build it, I say triple that and and a few billion call is 60 billion with a billion a year maintenance fee.

I've seen government studies say California alone spends 25 Billion a year dealing with illegal immigration. One study says 113 Billion a year nation wide.

Build the wall spend a billion on maintenance and another 2 billion paying young men and women who are wrmed to the teeth to guard the wall and who have no sense of humor whatsoever when dealing with criminals trying to breach the wall and you will end up saving billions a year.
