President-elect Donald Trump will not pursue investigations of Hillary Clinton regarding her email server scandal and the Clinton Foundation when his administration begins, Morning Joe reported on Tuesday.
A source with direct knowledge of Donald Trumps thinking tells Morning Joe that in his administration, the president-elect will not pursue any investigations into Hillary Clinton for her use of a private email server and the Clinton Foundation, co-host Mika Brzezinski said to open the broadcast. The source tells Morning Joe that Trump feels Clinton has, quote, been through enough.

“A source with direct knowledge of Donald Trump’s thinking....”. So someone actually KNOWS what the Donald is thinking?? LOL. Maybe it’s the same source that predicted a Hillary landslide.

Never let your enemies know what you’re doing until it’s too late to do anything about it. Trump understands this as well as anyone. Once he’s sworn in and all his positions approved and in place (DOJ, etc), then the “game is afoot...”
Overheard by a mouse in the White House and reported first here at Good Old FR:
Michelle: "Barak, I just heard that Trump is not going to go after Hillary".
Obama: "That's really good news Michelle, now I don't have to pardon her"
This does not mean that various state attorneys general cannot pursue the Clinton Crime Syndicate for illegal activities that occurred within their separate states, in both criminal and civil prosecutions. I just do not see New Jersey, New York or California being among the states to begin such action.
And there are so many avenues to pursue the Clinton Crime Syndicate on the Federal level, starting with the RICO statutes, not even touching upon the high treason or failure to maintain e-mail security.
Perhaps the principal players in the Clinton Crime Syndicate may be allowed to go into exile, after surrendering all right, title and interest in the network of shell corporations and money-laundering schemes to the control of the Federal Government, for disposal in civil settlements and reversion to the US Treasury.
It wasn’t all that hard to go after Enron, was it?
If true, I’m very disappointed and think this sets a bad example for the future.
Trump needs to investigate the Clintons, all of them, and their “foundation.” If he’s really serious about restoring the rule of law and draining the swamp, they are the perfect targets. He has to show that no one is above the law, and no one is too big to jail.
It would gain him a lot of political capitol.
Who does he lose political capitol with? Those who voted against him and continue to work against him.
Who does he gain with continuing investigations? Everyone else.
would not be surprised if this was part of some loyalty test where Trump says something controversial to a potential pick or aide and once it gets leaked, he knows that person is untrustworthy... look for more of this as we go along.
Baloney. A criminal case should stand or fall on its own. When did “political capital” become a factor in criminal justice?
So, this would mean that Obama has no reason to pardon Herself.
Trumpian head fake?
= "somebody who follows @realDonaldTrump on Twitter".
So I doubt it.
Will @realDonaldTrump become personally involved? Probably not. He has a whole fleet of fishing boats full of bigger fish to fry. But I doubt he'd tell his FBI and DOJ to ignore Clinton felonies.
Much better to let the House investigate her for lying to Congress.
And, the Foundation is only important to sequester the money so the Clintons don’t get to keep it.
... or a Trump maneuver designed to lull Obama into thinking a Hillary-pardon isn’t needed...
Still another possibility: Trump sincerely does believe that Hillary should not be investigated further. Well, Newt Gingrich inititally didn’t want to push the impeachment of Bill Clinton, either. But it happened.
Hillary and Bill should be offered the usual plea bargain for a corrupt officials: a detailed guilty plea, with cooperation and testimony against associates, along with a substantial fine, disgorgement of illegal gains, and at least a year or two of jail time.
Humiliating and painful, but far less than the maximum.
Ideally, the Clintons can then be used to unravel and document their criminal schemes and to prosecute their criminal associates. If of a generous disposition, Trump could then pardon the jail time for the Clintons if they otherwise perform under the plea deal.
With Obama, Trump is dealing with a dangerous megalomaniac who still controls the power levers for the next two months. The Clinton crimes surly reach into the Justice Dept and most likely the WH itself. Trump would be walking on dangerous thin ice if he announced an investigation now. He needs to ease Obama out, change the locks and then drop the hammer.
Good point. I think maybe Romney just failed the test.
Or he has someone leak it just to mislead the media.
...Until Trump makes a statement regatding this I call BS propaganda....
Keep it quiet. He need not react to any press allegations. More importantly, leave the Clinton Crime Family dangling in the wind, nervously awaiting a knock on the door and their fate whatever it may be.
What could happen is that Trump will honor the unwritten code to no go after ones predessor legally, but will allow Sessions to pursue the Clinton foundation.
it became a factor for actually getting a wall on the Mexican border and ending illegal immigration, as well as ending Muslim immigration too. I just believe in prioritizing.
