To the victor go the spoils.
The same rigor must be applied to political appointees inside all government agencies. If one EVER served as a political appointee of Obama, they must be purged even if they have converted to career positions to hide.
And fire every US Attorney on the first day. None can stay in any capacity.

It would be great if Trump didn’t replace them and said something like “after careful review we determined that their positions were unnecessary.”

I don’t get any of this behavior from the democrats. It isn’t like this is a new thing when the power changes hands. What the heck is wrong with them, really, I am asking this question very seriously?

Of course they’re in a state of panic. They all voted for Clinton. Everyone they know voted for Clinton. There was no plan in place for a Trump win. Now they have to scramble for new jobs and in many cases, new digs.

The economy is booming. They should have multiple offers pouring in.
Trump will refill with a fraction of these people and achieve a much higher performance level.

An excellent start.
He can do this NOW before he takes office?

The transition out of government is a reality for most appointees, which brings both excitement about prospects for the next chapter or a long-awaited chance to recharge batteries, and a keen awareness about a big, impending change, said White House spokeswoman Jennifer Friedman. Most employers are really looking for candidates who view working for them as a chance to recharge their batteries.
