This is the best news I’ve heard since Election Day.
One of my biggest pet peeves with Republican presidents is that from Eisenhower onward, with the exception of Ronald Reagan, they have always retained numerous holdovers from previous Democratic administrations on their staffs. We are finally getting a president who will clean out the previous administration’s personnel the way the Democrats always do.
Wise decision.
(Yes I do listen to NPR on weekends. Just heard them tease their upcoming edition of "Wait, Wait - Don't Tell Me," an un-funny, pseudo-news-quiz show with a tinny laugh track.)

BushtheJunior tried to ‘play nice’ and they ended up virtually stripping the White House of everything not tied down, going so far as to take ALL the W’s off computers, etc.
Besides that, everytime W farted, ‘they’ took impeachment papers out....strictly in retaliation for the clintoon impeachment.

HRC had the right but it was considered in poor taste to fire the WH travel office.
Think clintoon fired all the US Attorneys etc also.
Look what happens in Congress & Senate the Senator may be there for a 6+ term but the staffers have been there for a lifetime...that is where the ‘real power’ lies especially if all the staffers can find out what his ‘boss’ likes (young girls/boys etc)and it doesn’t take long for the staffers to be running and ruling the office.
Unless the staffers are Civil Service etc, if I were to be elected, there would be new blood - AND I would probably get buried....
Remember when RR became Gov of CA he basically tossed ALL recipients of state checks OUT with the provision that a job app was with the ‘firing notice’ and the ‘oldies’ would be considered first in line etc.Got rid of people who hadn’t been around for years...
Got rid of thousands of welfare cheats by making them show up early on and ID themselves..no show, no check...
A Government, Company, Business sometimes gets so big that it is impossible to make sure that EVERY check you send out is a ‘legitimate’ expenditure.

A good start, and the surgery will have to dig very deep into the Executive Branch, way down into the civil service, where obama has undoubtedly planted moles, just as clinton did, to thwart any meaningful reform of the government or, for that matter, any part of the Trump agenda.
And speaking of souls; 3 days before the election some guys were talking. One of them said he was voting for Hillary. Another guy said, “If you vote for her it will put a blotch on your soul until Judgment Day. The guy changed his mind and voted for Trump. True story.
GWB’s first mistake was NOT doing this.
