I’m currently experiencing a severe post-election depression. Donald Trump is the president-elect, and I can’t stop crying.
I cry every time I see a photograph of a large group of white, bro-ish looking dudes jeering in excitement. It triggers me so intensely, I feel like I’m going to vomit.
I cry every time I hear a story about all the outward racism and violence that has surfaced since Trump’s jarring victory.
I cry when I see a fellow queer person. Don’t we just seem so much more visible and vulnerable now?
I cry when I see any person who I know is going to be directly affected by the terrifying results of this scary election. I cry when I hear stories about kids threatening other kids they’re going to get “deported” at school....

Really, these people should voluntarily remove themselves from the gene pool.

Bits of it were inadvertently hilarious.
Maybe it’s a mileage marker on society’s inevitable push to normalize taboos. Guys wearing ear rings was another. But it goes way back. Decent women embrace wearing makeup, which was once the provenance of ladies of ill repute to better seduce their Johns.
It’s fashion, I guess. Tails on men’s coats got shorter and shorter over the years until they disappeared entirely, a function of formality losing out to casualness. Men wearing hats has gone by the wayside, too.
Many of us are are willing to live with the taboos that worked in our day while being regularly astonished to see the effects or lack thereof when the rules are tossed.

So you don’t understand how I find articles?
A couple of elections ago I had someone whining about how "scared they were" at work. I let him rant for a bit and then said clearly and loudly, "You are scared of me?"
I let the difference in size between puny me and him sink in to the rest of the lunch room, over a foot in height, a hundred pounds of muscle, at least 15 years in age plus I wear thick glasses and was having to walk with a cane.
I then said "boo."
I walked out to laughter.

The little idiot repeats the lie but cannot name a single instance.
That’s why the criticism against Trump for using the same term in a private conversation was so absurd - and so much phony manufactured outrage.
Context is everything and the lefts context is astroturf.
You know, I think these people are all scared just like the French people who collaborated with the Nazis were scared after the liberation.
They fear they will be recognized as having been willing collaborators with the enemies of our country, who are now being booted out.
