Fashion designer Sophie Theallet is urging her colleagues in couture to follow her example by refusing to dress the future first lady Melania Trump.
As one who celebrates and strives for diversity, individual freedom and respect for all lifestyles, I will not participate in dressing or associating in any way with the next First Lady, Theallet wrote, reports Elle. The rhetoric of racism, sexism, and xenophobia unleashed by her husbands presidential campaign are incompatible with the shared values we live by. I encourage my fellow designers to do the same.

Headline makes me picture Melania without clothes.
Thanks for the nice early start to my weekend!
Melania can buy her clothes from Ivanka’s collection.
Believe me, when the call comes from the office of the First Lady, the designers will fall all over themselves.
It doesn’t matter. Melania is going to look beautiful in anything.
“Fashion MORON Urges Fellow Designers to Refuse to Dress Melania Trump”
FTFY-
It seems that all of these moon bats are drinking from the same tainted water fountain.
What a sick bastard...fascist democrat spewing their hatred while their soul festers and rots.
Somewhere a lamp is missing a shade...
A rollover of the fashion industry would be a good thing.
Sexist: they influence women to be hobbled, literally, with Chinese foot binding shoes in which a woman cannot be free, strong, or comfortable. No man wishes to deform his feet by means of his footwear or wishes to be unable to walk or move normally. Women don’t wish it either is less they have been brainwashed by the fashion industry and each other. Men do not find women unappealing in 0-2” heels. There is no need to wear 4”.
Homophobic: children’s clothing is so afraid of putting a rabbit or a puppy or a cat on boy’s clothing. My son asked me why cats are for girls only. They aren’t. And girls enjoy robots and dinosaurs but clothing designers keep them from wearing shirts that are feminine but with those on them. My daughter’s favorite shirt is a dinosaur riding a bike in front of the Eiffel Tower with jewels on it. Hard to find though.
I never heard of this designer, Sophie but then again, I am one of the unredeemables. Melania would look great in an off-the-rack dress from Kohl’s. Adios Sophie, you just lost a lot of business.
Hey, snowflake, Melania could rock something off the rack of Marshalls! Why does she (or anyone else) need some effete snob like you telling us what “fashion” is. Especially when you change the definition every 6 months, solely to get the lemmings to enrich your bank account by insisting that the fashion lemmings have to get an entirely new wardrobe!
:D
More of Sophie's "fashion genius"
Sounds like they are engaging in discrimination to me.
“As one who celebrates and strives for diversity, individual freedom and respect for all lifestyles...”
So in other words, “diversity, individual freedom and respect for all lifestyles” can only be realized if we have a black homosexual (Obama) or a white lesbian (Hillary) as POTUS.
Meh. The left is myopic and retarded.
These Leftist nitwits prattle off the same tired phrases. They're like one of those talking pull-string dolls, and likely just as empty headed.
Good grief!
That picture looks like a crime scene.
She dressed Moochelle. We’ve seen some of Mooch’s apparel.
Melania wouldn’t wear her her stuff. Au revoir what’syourname.
Show your tolerance by being intolerant.
Also from the article:
“None of the designers asked by the Times if they would dress Melania Trump for the inauguration said they would not, says the report. Von Furstenberg also pointed out that Trump a former model may not actually need their assistance.
Im sure she knows what to do, she said.
It would be hypocritical to say no to dressing a Trump, Marcus Wainwright, chief executive of Rag & Bone, also considered. If we say we are about inclusivity and making American manufacturing great again, then we have to put that before personal political beliefs.”
This crap is Wookie Style, not Melania.
