Of course it is going to be much harder for Trump - he wants to crush the existing power structure, rather than sustain business-as-usual AND grow government which is what every other POTUS has done. Trump has a much more delicate problem; how to eradicate some government and how to transform it in a conservative direction. His opposition will be huge.

Don’t mess up the narrative with facts. The narrative is that Trump can’t win the nomination. Just kidding. He can win the nomination, but he can’t win the election. Kidding again. He can win the election, but he can’t do the job.
Trump can’t do the job. He can’t name a cabinet. Okay, he’s ahead of Obama on naming a cabinet and doing the job, but it’s a different era, so he needs to be held to a higher standard. And, by the way, the huge stock market boom since the election? Obama gets credit, since he’s still in power until January 20, 2017. The sudden boom has nothing to do with the election results. After all, Trump can’t do the job (see narrative above).
