A Spirit Airlines passenger at Tampa International Airport was booted from his flight Sunday because he objected to a button worn by a black flight attendant that said, Black Lives Matter, White Supremacy Kills. I said to her, All lives matter, passenger Robert Coyle told Tampas WTVT-13. And she said, I disagree with you. I disagree with you on so many levels. And then she went into some sort of memorized, I really cant speak politically while I am in uniform.' Thats when Coyle took a photo of the button. The attendant said the picture violated airline rules and asked to see it. Coyle said he agreed to delete the image, but the woman interrupted her safety demonstration to demand that the pilot escort Coyle off the plane. Coyle recovered the image and shared it with WTVT-13. No company should allow that to happen, he said, unless they are willing to accept the consequences for that happening. The news station reported that Spirit Airlines said the attendant violated its policy against political, religious or inflammatory messages on its uniforms. They offered Coyle undisclosed restitution and took undisclosed disciplinary action on the unidentified flight attendant, whod been with the airline 14 months, WTVT-13 reported. Coyle said hes content with Spirits response. If you have something offensive on your uniform, you are going to offend customers, he said. And customers pay the bills. Spirit released the following statement to the news station: Spirit Airlines is proud of a diverse workplace with team members of many different backgrounds and beliefs. We are committed to providing a fun, friendly, and relaxed experience to all of our customers. While we appreciate that Spirit employees have a wide range of personal views, the expression of those views should not interfere with their ability

The only penalty appropriate here is for this dumb broad to be terminated.
Too bad Roger Goodell hadn’t come out in the first week of the Nfl and state similar policy...
Meanwhile, back in the real world, the only people killing flight attendants, pilots and passengers have NOT been “white supremacists”, but MUSLIMS!
She can’t SPEAK when in uniform, but she can wear propoganda on such uniform.
Yeah.
Not surprising at all. A quick bit of research reveals Spirit has the MOST customer complaints in the airline industry.
You get what you pay for...
I really cant speak politically while I am in uniform.’
“Spirit Airlines said the attendant violated its policy against political, religious or inflammatory messages on its uniforms. They offered Coyle undisclosed restitution and took undisclosed disciplinary action on the unidentified flight attendant,”
Good. At least the airline has some sense.
Exactly...I also question the Captain and his decision to throw the passenger off the plane when he knew full well that passenger was correct and his crew member broke rules.
Sue the airline for a million dollars for racial discrimination and engaging in a hate crime against the passenger.
Restitution?
We are talking telephone numbers of dollars here.
She caused him to 1, miss his flight, 2, suffer huge public embarrassment, 3, suffer possible law enforcement action, etc.
He is not bound by any airline photography policy, unless it is in the Contract of Carriage, which it is not.
Did she ever finish her safety lecture. If not, were other passengers put at risk by her not doing so?
Seriously, easily a $50,000.00 settlement, plus lifetime passes for two on Spirit, if not much more.
He needs a good lawyer.... and there are plenty of them in his home of Texas.
We have two nations; one is trying to coerce the other into feeling guilt for actions they are not responsible for, debts they do not owe, and special rights and privileges unearned.
We will not have peace with those who demand what is not theirs to demand, for remuneration already paid for in blood.
I watch in weary acceptance that we are on the inexorable slide to civil war, for it is demonstratively evident that we incapable of peacefully co-habitating.
Other nations would have erupted by now. I cannot fathom why we have not.

Good for passenger Robert Coyle, and what appears to be a positive response from Spirit Airlines.
Meanwhile the NFL continues to tank income wise.
I’m glad he made a big deal about this. He was not treated professionally or with fairness.
“Other nations would have erupted by now. I cannot fathom why we have not.”
One side has most of the firearms, and they happen to be the ones that would rather not destroy the whole dang country over stupid grievances?
She’s not wearing much flair to be working for a company named “Spirit”.
Rather not, but at some point, there will be conflict. Real shooting, real casualties.
I think the grievance industry wants it. They have not properly countenanced the outcome.
The button is evidence of a premeditated hate crime.
