It is being reported in NYC papers that Trump wants to work out of his NYC office which is also his home. He’s probably influenced by Bloomberg who never lived at Gracie Mansion. I want him in the WH like most Americans but I bow to the inevitable. (New York will be even more unlivable if he’s in and out of the city.) The first Republican to mess up New York.
Is he worse than, say, a Borgia pope? At the time the Church was strong and it could sustain a bad Pope for a time without losing the flock. But for the last fifty years the Catholic Church has been working to present a softer, friendlier image in the mistaken believe that ugly round churches, guitar masses, and no more judgementalism would make people come running. Instead people decided it would be okay to pick and choose what parts of doctrine to support and only show up on Christmas and Easter, until that got too crowded and decided to not show up at all. Well after half a century of that, the church is on the operating table and CPR is barely keeping it alive. A decade of a committed anti-catholic pope could be the end of it.

That is a very interesting idea!
IF this is true, it would afford Trump to stay in NYC longer. I would imagine Melania and Barron would stay in NYC at least til the end of the school year. She and POTUS would be able to fly to DC as needed and still return to their own home that would have all manner of security, probably as good as if not better than the White House. WIn-win!
As such, the renovation of the Oval Office will take a long time to do, not only to add the new security features but to keep it looking like it was before the renovation work.
Just a bogus cover story to explain the massive job of cleaning the filth and stench from the white hut.

I was there once, they open for tourists during summer. Couldn't imagine the security upgrades needed. Try to get there if you go to see Rushmore though.
Just make Oval Office in Trump Tower for the first year....sounds good to me.
Whole place needs to be fumigated and doused with Holy water anyway.
