Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, is under consideration for attorney general in Donald Trump's administration, a Bloomberg News reporter tweeted Tuesday night.
Cruz was seen earlier in the day visiting Trump Tower in Manhattan, where Trump's transition team is talking about Cabinet level positions.
Trump himself tweeted about 30 minutes after Jacobs announced her "scoop," saying he alone knows who will get job offers.
Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, a Trump supporter after dropping out of the race, said a Cruz hire would be "a big shock for me," considering the acrimony between Trump and Cruz during the GOP nomination process.
"We all ran together, but there was never a group hug that involved Ted Cruz," Huckabee said on Fox News Channel's "The Kelly File."
"I would be very surprised if that was the case," he said, but admitted, "This election has been made of surprises."
Cruz is not well-liked by his Senate colleagues on either side of the aisle, so if he is nominated, he might get 100 percent confirmation support, Huckabee said, "because he wouldn't be in the Senate, and they haven't been that happy with him being there."

Rudy kept NY City as a sanctuary city. You sure you want Rudy as AJ? I dont. P;us Rudy is pro choice, he will not go after Planned parenthood, where as Ted will crucify them Thanks muchly for the info, my good FRiend.
One would like to hear what both men now think of both issues.

The sanctuary sympathy will certainly be an issue with Trump... and also Trump despises PP whether or not despising abortion in general (though he has given hints that he does).
That would seem to either disqualify Rudy or cause Trump to question him closely about whether he’s changed to a new point of view.

Sorry, but linking Cruz to the Establishment is the height of idiocy.

Very organized process taking place as I decide on Cabinet and many other positions. I am the only one who knows who the finalists are!

If you want somebody with the capability of cleaning up the DOJ; plus somebody who can find the info needed to put Hillary in JAIL .. Cruz is your man.
The reason .. he can’t be bought .. and he knows more about the Constitution than most.
I’m all for it .. I think he would make a perfect choice. The Senate hates him .. so they’d be glad to get rid of him. Sounds like a perfect choice.

“If true, then it signals that Trump wants to get very tough about enforcing the law with these Sanctuary Cities, immigration, etc. and wants someone who will be an enforcer.”
Possibly. You should see these jackwads in SF and other cities. They are consumed by some quixotic quest to overturn the election by bullying the electoral college to swing for cankles.
They are ignoring the train that's coming as in having the federal tap being turned off over the Sanctuary city issue. We may get a taste of Brackens “When the Music stops”

Hey “Dude” - look inward for applying the idiocy label. Cruz started in the Bush era - as a Bushite, and is currently in the establishment. Worked himself silly to get there.
That is less the problem I have with him than his failing to keep his vow to support the eventual nominee and then being a “vote your conscience” type. Wrong tone, wrong time, wrong move.
I never bashed the Cruz supporters, but they sure come out of the woodwork to bash others. Still.
My problem is with Cruz. Your problem seems to be with me because I have a problem with Cruz. Work that out with yourself.

As a 47 year Texan I can tell you Cruz can be trusted. I supported Cruz, when he lost of course I voted for Trump and talked people into getting over the debate rhetoric and support Trump. Texas Senator John Cornyn is the snake.
To: gameface1
Texas Senator John Cornyn is the snake. I wonder, will he draw a meaningful opponent in 2020?
