President-elect Donald Trump is close to announcing a decision for his chief of staff Sunday, and the leading contender is Republican National Committeeman Reince Priebus, according to people familiar the decision.

Actually, that’s a VERY SMART move. He effectively neutralized and TOOK OUT a potential top recruit for the NEVER TRUMP crowd from the top Administrative spot of the RNC Establishment’s wing of the party. With REINCE out of the picture in a good way, TRUMP can now place one of HIS OWN in that spot.

And, another thing we learned about Donald Trump is that if an appointee is not doing a good job, they are gone! So there will be lots of pressure on Prebius to do well. I trust he will.
Not bad. A chief of staff is an ORGANIZER. Fits Priebus and they usually don’t do strategy. People here shouldn’t worry!

Loyalty will be rewarded. Priebus stuck by Trump when the Rino’s were calling for delegates to abandon him, etc.

I trust Trump’s instincts. Bannon and Pence will certainly see if Preibus does his job or not.
Well the RNC chairmanship is largely about fundraising and organizing, and the one person in Trump’s inner circle who has actually run a PAC is Kellyanne. But it would be a shame to lose her to less visible non WH role.
So here’s a wild card: Rebekah Mercer. Her family has given millions to PACs and she’s said they are tired of throwing money away on politicians who don’t do what they say they’re going to do when they take it. She is involved with Trump because she demands results. Imagine someone with that attitude running the RNC!
It shows Rinos he rewards loyalty. That said I’d wager Ryan is toast, that likely was part of deal for Preibus’ post.
The great thing about Trump is if the appointment does turn out badly, he will not hesitate to replace.

Reince’s performance in this election was stellar! Most everyone in the world expected the exact opposite of everything that happened.
He did great in the Senate and House races and was a good advocate for Trump once he secured the nomination. I like it.
It wasn't so long ago people here were referring to him as "rinsed penis."
Preibus isn’t a pathetic man-child like Jeb, Ryan or Kasich.
When Trump had clearly won the nomination he got right behind him and Mr Trump himself has been effusive in his praise for him.
With Bannon, Newt and Rudy around as well, anyone who proves themselves disloyal will not last two minutes in the WH
