When Donald Trump was elected president, Esmeralda Soto was stunned. Then the fear began. The 24-year-old undocumented resident worries she will be deported under a president who has vowed to crack down on illegal immigration when he takes office.

That's right. We the American people did not get a chance to vote on this or have our elected representatives vote on this. Is was an imperial decree from Lord Obama. We can now reject it.

I don’t have any ill will toward Esmeralda Soto. I sincerely hope that once she is back in her home country, she will follow the laws and have a good life. I also hope that we will recoup the deportation costs from any assets she has, in the event that she owns anything of value.
