I’ve lived in both CA and WA. And I agree that CA immigrants have had a major negative impact on the politics of WA.

However, surely you will admit that OR was it’s own special kind of crazy in all the post WWII years.

California controls their own state law. The federal government controls its own purse - and California is broke. California will have to bow to federal law, since they cannot afford to do without federal money. Deport their 2,500,000 or perhaps far more illegal immigrants, or suspend all government services. Either way, the illegals will go home once the gravy train shuts down.

I’m hoping Trump starts prosecuting the Mayors and other “officials” for breaking Federal Immigration/National Security laws...right after he turns off the tax-dollar tap.

All you CA Freepers make good points and need to continue to push back on us non-CA Freepers who step in “it” by from time to time by making these comments. I have been rightfully nailed as well and deserved to be. What we mean is all the RAT politicians, RAT citizens, RAT courts, and consequences of RAT policies foisted on CA, and that have a disparate impact on the USA.

I’m old fashioned, I still prefer Illegal Aliens over anything else that they, the PC activists, the Invasion activists may think up.

Hey California, isn’t time to flip the switch so that EVERY last one of the MULTITUDE of rules, regulation, policies, guidelines and laws that specifically enumerate preferential treatment for “minorities” to be directed towards whites? Aren’t they the NEW “minorities”?

Two new Senators from the State of Jefferson would benefit the entire nation.

This is the way to deal with “the California problem”.

“California is broke”

How many billions in debt from illegals and pers penions?

All this chaos just because leftists want to stay in power. I hate them with a passion.

It’s time their ponzi playhouses are burned to the ground.

Trump is going to defund all sanctuary cities. We will see how Los Angeles and San Francisco fair after they are hit in the pocket book. They will come around when they lose their precious funding. Trump is going to beat them at their own game.

Yes, and that's just the "carrot" part of the program. If that doesn't work expect arrests and prosecution of city officials on various Federal charges as the "stick" is brought out. It will only take one or two of these for the message to get across that Trump takes his constitutional oath of office seriously and that the rule of law will be enforced under his administration.

“It’s time their ponzi playhouses are burned to the ground.”

I can only assume you are not acquainted of an important fact: CA pays more in Federal income taxes than Federal dollars they receive.

Every year.

For the last 60 years in a row.

“I thought California was going to secede or move to Canada or something. Trump needs to knock off all Federal dollars to California. They’re a bunch of idiots and U.S. tax dollars shouldn’t be wasted on idiots.”

California sends more $dollars to Wash DC, than it gets back.

Besides, Trump clarified his policies about illegal immigrants, as focus on those guilty of criminality—the worst—get them out.

So if an illegal immigrant stays out of trouble, chances are good they do not face deportation.

Build the wall, implement E-Verify to make employment more difficult, arrest and deport criminals.

Going door to door, not so much.

Enforce all immigration laws.

Prosecute anyone using a fake or stolen Social Security card

Freeze accounts of anyone with a fake or stolen Social Security card

Prosecute any illegal found on the voting rolls

Fine any business hiring illegals

No government services for anyone in this country illegally

finally - do what is required to end anchor babies.

Not exactly... it is true that the Portland area has been a mess for decades. Heck it was a mess in 1900. But as soon as you get outside of Portland, Oregon is actually a very conservative state for the most part.

IN the early 1990s my wife and I were flying back from visiting relatives in California in our small airplane. My wife started having an urgent need to visit a ground based restroom. So we landed at a small rural airport 40 miles North East from Salem. I purchased some Avgas and my wife used the restroom. She was getting hungry so I asked the proprietor if there was fast food nearby. She said, “Sure there is a McDonalds in town... it's three miles that way.” I must have looked a little disappointed so she continued, “You can use my car. Don't worry about my dog she doesn't bite.”

I immediately assumed that the car would be some type of airport beater and the dog would be a shaggy old mongrel. But the car was actually a nearly new Cadillac and the dog was a pure bred and well groomed show poodle. The people in town were super friendly as well. It was probably the friendliest place we have ever been to. And we have never tasted fast food so delicious since. I told my wife that I thought that it would be a good place to retire. I know that the area has had major development since and the amazing character is probably a distant memory.

But we also took hang gliding lessons over a period of months on the coast South of Tillamook. It was a very nice area also and the people there and on the way there were amazing as well. So I wouldn't necessarily judge Oregon by Portland and the I-5 corridor.

Before you all get too abusive of all Californians I would remind you to look at National map showing results by counties.

The main population centers are blue while everything else is red. California is a one party state. The Republican party is less than effective.

So yes, the liberals control Sacramento, but not everyone in California is a liberal.
