Hillary Clinton acknowledged on a call with her campaign staff and volunteers on Friday that her election loss had taken an emotional toll. But she encouraged those listening to stay engaged in the political process once the despair of Tuesday passed.
Im not going to sugarcoat it: These have been very, very tough days, Clinton said. This is a tough time for our country. I think we have seen how people have been reacting to the events of this election and I know we have got to be reaching out to each other to keep it clear in our own minds that what we did is so important. It looks like we are on the path to winning the popular vote, and that says volumes about the importance of your work and the lasting impact it will have.
Clintons comments are the first shes offered since her concession speech to Donald Trump on Wednesday morning. Then and now, she kept a calm demeanor, not casting blame for the outcome but instead encouraging those listening to move forward constructively. Fridays call, which The Huffington Post was able to dial into, lasted roughly 15 minutes, interrupted for a few minutes by a tech snafu.
Clinton thanked her backers for the work they put in, calling the campaign one of the greatest honors of my life. And she encouraged them to remain politically engaged in the future.

“And to all my supporters, cheer up and get ready for the next election. We have to fight for what we believe in and ...oops, gotta go, I’m late for a speech”!
This is a tough time for our country.”
On the contrary, bitch. I think for the first time in 8 years, the future finally has a glimmer of hope.
It’s quite beautiful that both PIAPS and Algore both won the meaningless popular vote and lost the rather important EC. Great job you two! Pointing out that they won the popular vote is as relevant as the Indians pointing out that they scored more runs than the Cubs.
She should be breaking rocks in the hot sun.
Hillary won’t last 4 years now that her lifelong lust for power has been snatched from her. She could taste it. She felt she deserved it.
It all she’s ever wanted, and now it will NEVER happen.
And it’s not like Trump to not use his bully pulpit to rub it in a bit if she gets too mouthy.
Her tears taste very salty. Laced with a touch of Grey Goose.
Without the aura of a presidential campaign in front of her, she's about as interesting to the media as a pile of rocks.
IOW, she approves the mahyem.
” I think we have seen how people have been reacting to the events of this election...”
Yeah, because her people have paid them to do so! The pathetic creature can’t even stop lying when she loses.
Don’t go away mad, you vile little witch, just go away.
More than likely had a hand in creating it.
Someone needs to explain to these morons that the popular vote is nothing. It isn’t even all votes cast but only the counted ones.
She is despicable for not condemning the riots.
I still will vote Hillary for prison
I thought she was out hiking with The Bent One and her dog.
I’ll take that bet!
;-)
God bless Donald Trump. What a fighter he is. He will bring this country around like we never thought could happen again. I am on Cloud 9!

Read my tagline! Bahahahaha!!!!
These people know exactly what the electoral college is and why our founding fathers set it up this way.
They are manipulative liberals. The end justifies the means.
