New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, chairman of President-elect Donald Trumps transition team, tells TODAY theres a lot of things about him there that the public has not seen. Chris is stained with bridgegate.
Bet he regrets that decision.
If I was Christie, I would be a little worried. Donald likes Christie, but may think the Bridgegate matter remains unsettled. His children don’t think much of Chris, and have probably advised him not to put Christie at the helm of any department at this time.
well it’s all about Chris Krispy isn’t it? It’s been that way for awhile.
He’s nothing but a hanger-on- like a adult political groupie
that can’t get enough.
Bridge-Gate isn’t done with him yet and I see that maybe The Donald doesn’t want any taint of that in his admin.
**Remember how Krispy barrelled down the boardwalk all shucky-ducky with Obama after Sandy?
They was jes’ all shucky-ducky quack quack.
Krispy has no loyalty to anyone but himself and his own self interests.
Chris is stained with bridgegate.
Bet he regrets that decision.
bridgegate is the kind of evil that defines a tyrant. I wouldn't get within a hundred lightyears of doughnut boy.
It was a good interview, he’s certainly got charisma beyond just the rock-em sock-em style. The bridgegate distraction is over, it went exactly how he said it would, and I think Trump would be remiss if he can’t find a good spot for Gov. Christie, who would bring talent and executive experience.
Yup, let’s all sing the same song. Rudy said thatmuch on this matter is inaccurate. But carry on anyway. If you watched him in the debates, he was tough. But who cares? Throw away tremendous talent. I’m glad everyone here walks on water. Those who don’t can part the Red Sea.
Christie has been loyal since the primaries. I believe President Trump will remember that.
Go easy on Christie...he and Trump and Carson have been friends for a long time...there will be a place for Christie, and ‘bridgegate’ isn’t going to ruin the friendship there...
He did work to convict Kushers dad
I think he's more "stained" by his close ties to the Bush family. He's been the best governor you're ever going to get in New Jersey, but I think it's wise for Trump to keep him at arm's length.
I think he has just aligned his staff to their jobs here on out. the vice is the vice and pence is just that. no reason not to make him second in command.
Here's a little something that may not be common knowledge outside of New Jersey:
Jared Kushner, Ivanka's husband, is the son of a prominent New Jersey real estate magnate named Charles Kushner. He was a powerful financial supporter of Democrats in New Jersey, including the former governor Jim McGreevey who competes with Anthony Weiner for the title of the most f#%&ed-up political figure in the nation over the last decade.
Charles Kushner was prosecuted and convicted for various crimes including illegal campaign contributions, tax evasion and witness tampering. He spent a year in prison and was disbarred from the practice of law.
The Federal prosecutor in the case was the U.S. Attorney for the District New Jersey at the time -- a fellow named Chris Christie.
Outdated article.
Christie has been demoted to Vice Co-Chair.
I hardly remember bridgegate. But I do remember him helping hand the 2012 election to Obama; a disgraceful performance by a so-called Republican if there ever was one.
Who cares? He is a smart man. Taken out of political New Jersey he would be a fine asset to the Trump administration. Donald likes him. You want the boss to be happy.
Krispy has never really put his nose to the grindstone.
He just waits for whatever comes his way to either cleave unto or be a admin in dallying above.
Maybe he should get New Jersey in order before his plans for a bigger career in WashDC.
Thanks. You are correct - bridgegate pales in comparison to the photo ops with Barack.
The Trump surrogates are barreling at warp speed to transition power You can see Trump’s influence all over these people.
Trump wrote in his book Think Like a Champion that a good leader needs to be like a conductor and set the tempo for all those under him. If he does, then those working for him will start to conform to his pace.
I really don’t want to see Christie in their as chief of staff or any sort of policy-influencing position.
